Nope - lets give him an AAV of 17+m

Good player but all things equal - and not just because Wilson complained - but why not invest in the OL. But good for Lockett

Upgrades all the way ? Not sure for Fackrell/Perryman and Cook/Henry.

        Time to replace N. Vigil.
Smith isn’t replacing Jenkins. Both he and Fackrell are ST guys and rotational pieces. But definitely not full time starters material.

        Also Feiler is replacing Feeney.

We will need to fill out our roster.
I expect some additional cap room from a new extended deal with MWilliams.
We do not play modern football.

                It makes sense.

How does the New Lockett deal affect an M.Williams extension, or does it?

I am not sure, probably not too much.

Mostly, I am thinking in terms of who else we can squeeze in to build our roster.

For example, maybe we pick up some great oline, edge, and a RB or TE we really like...but there was never a good value for corner when we picked? Then we go pick up one of those guys still looking for a job, or a post draft release. Stop gap.

Same thing can happen with the tackles.

I say hang onto the money, use it on whatever we miss on. If we hit paydirt on most of our picks? Put it in the bank for Herbie.
                      Adopted Bolt: Kimani Vidal RB

Final prediction: Latham OT, Colson LB, Sainristil CB,Rice WR, Zinter OG, Nourzad OC, MacLachlan TE, Vidal RB, Lovett DT

The Chargers really do not need the additional cap space. As Popper notes - they have 10-11m to spend after draft picks and saving the in-season fund. In this market, at this point, that could be 5 players or so.

OT might be 4m at this point
CB - -post draft - the same
than a few guys for 1.5m

Granted, Popper trolling us with his comment about trading for OT (ZeusII) -at that point - may need to see about the MW extension

I agree with this. See what happens in the draft. Maybe you need a stop gap OL or CB or whatever position. I am not sure how many more signings there will be before the draft but unless its purely a Special Teamer type LB to replace Vigil - I would be surprised.

Plus if you can roll say 3m extra for Justin Herbert down the road - its would be wise to think about that now and now in three years.
