I agree. Just look at the Titans-Rams game. Simmons had 3 sacks and harrased Stafford all game affecting him.

Tweet is about the Raiders but you can see how much pressure we get via blitzing on early downs. It probably looks better since teams tend to run on us on early downs.

A few days ago I made a post about Chargers free agents I thought the Chargers would want to retain and move on from next off-season. I said Linval Joseph would probably be gone. He's getting up there in age and the run defense is so bad. But I was clueless to be honest. I didn't know anything about Joseph. I'm a WR/RB/CB man, those are the positions I played, I'm not an interior lineman type and I admit that I don't always pay attention to what is going on in the trenches. A few of you pointed out that Joseph is the Chargers' best interior DL. And you were right. Dude is a speed merchant as well.

Every D is better in 2nd and long and 3rd and long or if they get TFL on 1st. Don’t be fooled by these platitudes. Staley, what are you doing to increase the chances of TFL on early downs because right now teams are getting positive yards on the ground consistently

He needs an Aaron Donald type on the DL and a better edge rusher than the two imposters that allow Bosa to be tripled teamed.

seriously, I’d like to see the top three picks used on the D front seven. We are dead last against the run and neutralizing Bosa castrates QB pressure.
