Lombardi being around some of the most prolific offenses in modern NFL history allows him to know a thing or two regarding trends and ways to combat trends. He foreseen how defenses have tape and will defend the long ball against Hebert similarly to Mahommies. Mahommies being forced to play the short and moderate pass game is seeing record highs for being sacked/Intercepted and lows in QBR, passer rating, yards per pass. Herbert on the flip side is improving in terms of total TDs, lower sack rate, with nearly identical QBR and passing ratings, ect. Herbert has nearly doubled Mahommies in 20+ passes and 40+ passes this season.
Remember guys the goal for our passing game in the off-season was to attack the ENTIRE field in a balanced manner. We are doing that. In 2022 the GM, scouts, and coaching staff needs to implement a more consistent run game in conjunction with the pass attack. Need to get those YPC's up.

To sum up it all. Chargers remaining schedule looks favorable for a wild card if the Chargers beat NY at -10.5 and Houston at probably -10.5 too. Some kinda voodoo if we don’t. That leaves beating either Oakland or Denver or KC to get to 10 wins which should be enough, right?
