Last draft was supposed to be the one that helped Herbert and that this draft would now turn its emphasis to the other side of the ball. Well that strategy didn’t pan out well at all. In fact, the Chargers need to fall back a year and perform a redo of their last draft attempt and draft high on O-line once again. They should attempt another Slater at # 1 and leave it till next season to go # 1 at defense. And TT needs to make better FA O-line choices. He stinks at FA in general.

Agree. If you want to criticize TT for anything, it would be hoping that Bulaga could make it through the season without getting hurt, something that blew up badly. But the other 4 starters are good to very good.

So ignore the defense? Pfft,....the defense is a bigger problem so, don't agree. Yes we still need a RT but we got OL last off-season and in the first round.

We still have free agency again to go thru.

There was more to fix than one year could process, but it’s troubling if your GM puts pride ahead of admitting mistakes while handicapping team momentum.

So you’re saying that those guys sucked? Because we were pretty good until Oday went out for the year and Feiler missed last week’s game. There’s no viable FA OL once the season begins unfortunately. You just have to hope you get lucky and find a diamond in the rough, or that you have enough depth to weather the injuries. The latter is the issue. Not the FA OL we got earlier in the year.
