This matches what my Steeler friend warned me about - he is not close to the same player as he was a couple of years ago and he is glad they are moving on from him.

Im not real thrilled to sign Villanueva. Id rather resign Tevi as a backup or have Pipkins as the backup and draft a LT in the first round.

There was a chart somewhere that took run & pass grades for OTs.

Tevi was at the bottom, only slightly above him was Villa.....

Were they balanced or way better at run blocking or pass blocking? For me, pass blocking is more important.... a RB gaining nothing is not as anywhere close to as bad as getting your QB killed or blindsided into a fumble or pick.... though not being able to get one fricking yard to score, keep a drive going, or close out a game is frustrating too....

Definitely a factor, but Feiler only had 17. Different positions I realize. Starting to wonder a little if he would actually be much of an upgrade over Tevi, especially if he's able to step up his game another notch

Exactly. BigBen is notorious for hanging on to the football. Herbert has better vision, picket feel, and mobility. Villanueva would need to bounce back some, but a cheapo one year deal gives Pipkins longer to develop.

Yet Wilson , Watson and the mobile QB s are all sacked more hmmm. Rothlisberger only sacked 13 times last season so lots of throw aways. Herbert sacked 32 times. Wilson, 49, Watson 47. Your classic hang on to the ballers lol.

Herbert is decisive.

The stat can be misleading.
I would expect better results from Villanueva with LAC than with PIT.

Perhaps,.......id stil pass. Id only want to sign him to a 1 year deal, 2 tops but really not that intereted...but im not part of the front office lol.
