    Bump.

    Slater’s PFF through 3 games.

T RASHAWN SLATER, LOS ANGELES CHARGERS

    PFF overall grade: 71.3

Slater has been the most consistent pass-protecting rookie through three weeks. He’s allowed only five pressures on 149 pass-blocking snaps so far. That’s a far cry from what Chargers fans have been used to for the last decade.
Our quarterback is a golden god.

PFF overweights run blocking in their composite grades for OL.

Tom Telesco’s Results in 9 years as Chargers GM:

          - 69-74 record
          - 0 division titles in 9 yrs as GM
          - Worst record among all active GMs with same tenure
          - 6th worst winning percentage among all active GMs overall
          - 2 playoff wins despite elite QB all 9 yrs
          - Team still has the same weaknesses (Oline and run defense) that it had when hired as GM in 2013
          - Consistently puts together horrible depth, expects starters to never miss games

I heard somewhere that every time we run left we gain like 8 yards against 2 yards when running right. I think he is doing fine run blocking.

Another reason to draft a stud RT in 2022. Teams need to be guessing which way we’re gonna run if we want a complete offense.

I saw his week 1 run blocking vs pass blocking grades. Extrapolating out they have him in the 60-65 range on run blocking and 75-80 range pass blocking. The difficulty making splash plays in pass blocking leads it to be weighted lower than run blocking even though pass blocking is more valuable.

Guys Rashawn may be the best rookie Chargers have had since Justin Herbert.

Who are the top rookies through three weeks of the NFL season? Who is the top QB in the class so far? And who is flying under the radar in the early going?

Nice find. If OL players were actually considered for such awards, we might end up with OROY and DROY in the same draft. Cheers Telesco.

On a side note, I don’t understand why Asante is rated as the 3rd best CB in the class. The article keeps talking about “degree of difficulty “ yet Surtain is rated higher? He’s played worse opponents and posted worse stats. And Newsome has done far less than either.
