Gonna have to disagree with you on that last part, unless my eyes are lying to me. I don't see progression with him. We'll see next year, but offensively Reid is light years ahead (right now), and if you hadn't noticed Staley's defense has been nothing to write home about either.Originally posted by 21&500 View PostI think Staley is on the right track.
back to front.
another year with Vato, maybe JCJ
Taylor 2nd year in the system.
Derwin leading the secondary.
A more consistent offense to close out leads with multiple first downs.
Staley can compete with the Pedersons and Reids.
we're close.
I would prefer that you are correct, but I've got very little to give me confidence that you are . . . .

Staley should’ve been axed where it not for cheap ass owners, pederson twice showed everyone staley is not NFL caliber and other coaches have as well…meantime the spanos are perfectly comfy going into the 2023 season with a lame duck coach so they can save what? Like 4 million bucks? It’s just business as usual for the spanos, they wanted the move to LA to increase the value of the club, they are NFL investors not owners, they’ve proven that they don’t actually intend to compete during herbert’s tenure by keeping BS around…Originally posted by jubei View Post
WOW...would redo a lot of his mistakes if given the chance for a redo. are you KIDDING me you STUPID FUCK?!

Staley was the no-brainer. It was Dean's chance to stick it to Kroenke. Stealing your almighty DC, na-na-na-na boo-boo.Originally posted by Bolt4Knob View Post
It was such a bleeping no-brainer. I woke up that Saturday morning- saw that Schefter had sent the missive that "Daboll seems to be the leading candidate for the Chargers" and thought to myself - they are finally getting it right. And even though the Bills beat the RAvens that night - so the Bills would play another week - thought the Chargers would wait.
Than started reading Staley would interview with the Texans and Eagles, the Rams lost that Saturday to the Packers - and Deano got a chub or something and had to make the hire and I think it was Pellisero or fan boy Shrager who broke the news that Sunday night and I was so pissed off.
Telesco and Daboll had roots together' Daboll had oodles of experience, both success and failure... it was a no brainer
Some still haven't accepted the Staley hire for what it was, but that's as far as you need to go in Dean's pea-brain. It wasn't for the benefit of the team, it was all about Stan. Stan lives in Dean's head.

If I was JH I would seriously consider whether I wanted to waste my career on this franchise . . . . .Originally posted by Fouts2herbert View Post

He’s not getting a choice. Franchise tag will keep him here and get him motivated to sign a long term deal with 9 figures guaranteed vs risking a one year tag salary when one play can end it all. Folks that think he won’t play for money have never stared at a contract offer with 8 zeros on just the guaranteed line.Originally posted by Lefty2SLO View Post

I have not seen the original Dea Spanos lawsuit posted on this site (nor have I looked deeply) so here it is.
https://www.scribd.com/document/5012...rian-Petition#
This Dea Spanos lawsuit document is 156 pages long and has a copy of the Alex Spanos original trust loaded with trust income, debts and crazy ass (well not so crazy) Trust tid bits such as this:
SOPHI A CHIACHIANIS
( SOPHIA ), who is a god-sister of Husband, shall have the right to reside at the residence at 2263 Lido Circle, Stockton, CA 95207, rent free, except as provided herein, for the balance of her life. This right shall end upon the earlier of SOPHIA's death or cessation of occupancy as her actual, principal residence.
Enjoy !!!
PS .... Page 10 of the lawsuit.
The Trust’s estimated net loss (income disbursements in excess of income receipts) for 2020 was $11,000,000Last edited by Trumpet Man; 01-20-2023, 08:25 PM.

If I remember correctly, the thought was that Daboll was the frontrunner for the Charger coaching vacancy because of his previous Telesco connections,Originally posted by jamrock View Post
Daboll was the guy
and what he did with Josh Allen.
Then, a story got out about Daboll hazing a qb: can't remember if it was in college or the pros.
I wonder who leaked that story? If the Chargers were interested, they suddenly lost interest and went with the boy genius.

On the other hand, if you can be the first qb to lead this franchise to a superbowl win, you're an immortal legend.Originally posted by Lefty2SLO View Post
