Does Pete Carroll retire today or tomorrow?

This is likely what Pete wanted and I would guess he has the job for at least a few more years if he wants since he hasn't retired?
The headlines for years have been the Seahawks throwing most of their draft capital and money into the defense rather than the O Line/Receivers causing the rift between Russ and Pete + Schneider the GM. Biggest problem their drafting has been downhill since the HOF legion of boom draft.

Very interesting to see what Seattle does now at QB. Getting Shelby Harris in the deal rather than younger guys or more picks implies they are trying to win now.
Won't be shocked if they draft Willis at 9 either.

Willis is pretty raw and wouldn't help to win now
but I agree, Harris implies they haven't completely given up on now.
maybe they see Harris as a vet leader type.
Wouldn't be surprised to see a FA QB sign there.

It would take a helluva a package to trade him in the division, but if the 49ers lose twice to the Seahawks they likely aren't contenders anyway so I wouldn't rule it out.

I think this is a tank year for them so they can go get a QB high next year. Time for a fire sale.

Agree about the lack of OL investment. But Wilson shouldn’t be complaining about WR investment.

He didn’t impress me in Seattle. In Denver, with that O already in place, I dunno, he can be legit again cuz it’s not all him. Their D ain’t shabby either. Gonna be a heckuva season coming up.
