K9 is not an outside pass rushing threat. Our backup LB's are not very good.
Leave K9 at ILB and draft an ILB for depth. Chris Rumph is a much better EDGE option.

We already have good depth with K9, Niemann, and Ogbongbemiga. I wouldn’t hate using a 7th for competition purposes, but I’m not taking Ogbong out. Haven’t you seen his ST impact over the last few games? He’s starting to get it. Niemann is excellent on ST too.

Chargers radio was singing Ogbo's praises for his ST play as of late. I like the kid.....nice score TT.

like that there are multiple names that work for us on the IDL.

also wonder if Nwosu might price himself off our roster, as Staley preaches "value."

and not so keen to be paying Justin Jones so much, and not so keen to resign Anderson.

also wonder if at $13m MW is the best receiver for our buck ??

another name that bugs me is Ogbah, and it's not coz I didn't like him in the draft, it's coz we don't draft guys like that to start with.... there are good edge players in this draft.... don't get pretty.... hit on your picks.

the ED that really checks all the Staley boxes, far as eye can tell.... is Jermaine Johnson II.

last thought is that didn't expect Kyzir to get another contract from the Chargers.... Ninj has been loyal throughout.

Staley seems to love Nwosu and calls him a perfect fit for us. That 6 mil a year is cheaper than we paid Mel and getting about the same results. Not sure what Nwosus actual worth is but 6 mil id be fine with.

Not sure im paying Ogbah 12 a year either for Mel type production. Probably not going to do that.
He isnt much better than Nwosu production wise......a little bit i suppose but Chenna hasnt been starting til this year. So if Nwosu is worth 6 mil a year, maybe Ogbah is worth 7-8 a year. With Fackrell likely not coming back, we may sign a Edge and draft one too.

Not fine paying Grant 4 mil a year, Anderson 2 mil a year, or Callahan 7 a year. ....or signing Freeman who is injured too often.

Free agency can be tricky and some guys we will get cheaper by waiting. Anderson is making 920K this season so more than doubling him is too much. Vet minuimum is what we should offer him if we even keep him.

Mike Williams will get more than 13 mil. Id think 15-17 and id pay that for him on the high end. He is making 15.7 this year. Love Davonte Adams but we arent going to pay him 25 mil a yer which is 5 mil more than Keenan.

Thinking we will keep Kyzir....but its borderline and Staley seems to like him too. Still playing better than Murray so depends on his contract. 7 mil sounds high but havent looked at the market value for LBs and this is his only standout season.

Unless Nwosu has a breakout last 4 games, I can’t see him pricing himself off the team.

I honestly do not think paying J. Jones 5 mil a year is too much. He is a solid rotational player and that’s what they are going for now a days.

For MW after I did a little more research, he will demand more. Especially after what Courtland Sutton just got. With 1 extra year under his belt, MW has twice as many TDs and on pace for his 2nd 1,000 yard season. Maybe go after a Christian Kirk?

Ogbah is a FA not a draft pick.

as far as Ogbah, he’s been consistent with Miami the last 2 seasons and I know pass rushers come at a premium. I would like them to look at Harold Landry as well. But he’s gonna be pricey after the year he is having. They just need another consistent vet presence opposite of Bosa.

As far as Grant, he is a weapon on ST and can be used on the O effectively. I don’t feel like $4 mil a year is a lot for somebody of his talent. If they could get him for cheaper, I would be all for it. Anderson just needs more opportunities. He had proven to be a good blocker and a weapon in this O. Once Cook is gone he moves up the depth chart and $2 mil is not much.

I think your right when it comes to MW after looking at his stats and Courtland Sutton stats and seeing what Sutton just got paid. Maybe go after Christian Kirk and Jakeem Grant? I like Kirk’s game. If the WR room was Allen, Kirk, Palmer, Guyton and Grant going into next year, I would be ok with that. DJ Chark is another WR that could be a good value signing.

I feel like K. White has a lot of value to this D. And for $7 mil a year, I would take it. He will only get better in this scheme as time goes on. I also think that they are going to really keep K9 at edge and let him work with coach Giff and coach Jay as well as Bosa this offseason. He is an explosive player and I think he can be an effective rotational edge rusher. Look at Haason Reddick, played ILB for 3 years before moving to OLB last year. Finished the year with 12.5 sacks. This year in a new scheme in Carolina and has 10.5 sacks. I’ve still got faith in K9 to eventually be an effective pass rusher in the future. So with that being said, keeping K. White will be very important moving forward.
