I believe that a lot of our problem is teams going back to smashmouth vs StaleyD thinking.
    Also there is wild inconsistency.
    Clearly a top tier.
    And that ain't us.
Oops...then that means we need more beefy LB's instead of skinny safeties...

So much for playing “modern” football. Staley is already behind the curve and the one thing he was supposed to be was a forward thinker. Sold TT and Spanos a bill of goods to rival any carney barker

          From the film,
          it looks like
          Nas and K9
          are underperforming.
          It is time to gel.
          After Falcons next Sunday,
          it will almost be
          half way point
          of the season.
          Now or never Staley.
          Next phase of modern defense.
We do not play modern football.

J.Allen has speed to throw to P.Mahomes has speed to throw to
J.Hurts has speed to throw to
J.Burrow has speed to throw to
And it isn't just 1 guy who is the 4th or 5th WR.
At least one of the starters brings that speed.

Sadly, Herbert doesn't know that that is like...... yet.
Who has it better than us?

Tua has speed to throw to...although he cant make the throws, but he has those players.

Speakin of Tua did anyone see what acho said about Justin and Tua? I think Justin is a mean guy for stealing acho's lunch money and then taking acho's lunch as well.

For years I have thought that teams play us believing if they get tough and physical, we will collapse. And I see no reason to change that belief.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

That wasn’t the case during the Ross years or Marty years

Agree. Those coaches demanded players do their job.

Barring a miracle level light going off, Kenneth Murray may be our Jonas Mouton. He does not look like an NFL player. Stiff at times. Reactive not proactive. Athleticism vs instincts. Anthony Lynn's guy. This is '22 NFL.

Would Ross or Marty's styles work with today's pampered, entitled athletes?

Of course. They want to win. Belichick’s teams are always physically tough.
