He was disappointing in the AFC Championship vs NE when LT sat out. Nobody else is LT but Turner basically did nothing.
He was good in Atlanta. Sproles was more productive for the Chargers.

Turner wasn't much of a pass catcher which limited him in our offense and a reason why he fell to the 5th

.@danielrpopper on the NFL Stock Exchange said he doesn’t believe the Chargers are particularly high on CB Michael Davis anymore. He expects cornerback to be a strong emphasis in the draft again this year.

Keep in mind, now that the Bolts will have JC Jackson covering the opposing teams #1 wideout, Vato should fare better covering their #2...SHOULD is the operational word...having said that, I'd like to see the Bolts trade down, pick up an extra 3rd rounder, and use one of our 3rd round picks for a nice solid cover corner...

Yeah, we need multiple OL and corners in this draft.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

Thanks. It means that we can still get a good one on the third day.

Muncie and Brooks were the best pro bowl RB tandem we have ever had because they were both complete starting type pro bowl RB's......

Yes, Chargers need at least one or 2 complete every down type RBs to rotate with Ekler and for short yardage and as insurance for when he gets beat up or hurt....... Ekler is a great multi purpose player but is not an every down type of RB because he cannot take the pounding and he is not great at short yardage plays....lacking the size and power...

Of course it fell apart when Raiders forced Derwin to cover Zay Jones (outside in motion) and several players missed assignments once Derwin vacated.

It also showed how weak Chris Harris played the slot in the 4-2-5 nickel. In that formation the slot/NB (Star) has to be strong against the run (which Harris wasn't). I started thinking about Derwin's many talents and how he would be a perfect fit.

I also noticed a number of times last year, that when Derwin does play closer to the LOS, Haloti Gilman gets targeted. If we had someone better there, it would make the defense so much better... especially with the new defensive additions. Also with Derwin @the Star or Money position... how ASJ could move outside more... leaving less Michael Davis on the field. It just seems to solve a lot of possible problems... and might make drafting a 1st or 3rd round CB a little less of a priority.
                    This one!
This is your last chance. There is no turning back. You take the blue pill, the story ends. You wake up in your bed continuing to believe Kenneth Murray and Jerry Tillery were the biggest...

Bingo! Great explanation of Chargers' run-stopping whoas... Thanks Xenos!

                        Yes, all of that.

This board is seriously underestimating how bad Harris and Davis were for the run D last year. Keeping ASJ outsidd and subbing out Davis solves both of that.

I predict we go OT/CB or CB/OG in the draft... then we follow it up with safety (to allow Derwin to drop down.
