No. I agree with you. Sean Payton was a pipe dream. Even though I’m still pissed at several bonehead decisions he made, he kept the team motivated through the injuries and deserves one more year with a new OC.

It isn;'t good to scapegoat but he also was not Staleys first choice as OC. He was at least the 3rd choice if not the 4th

To your point - the Chargers need to maximize the potential of Herbert. In the NFL - if you get the QB right playing at an elite level - that is such an advantage
