I think the OL coaches need to be fired too. But one step at a time

He had a decent amount of experience and a couple of stints as a QB coach before coming here, so at least he had some background. But I'm all for starting over with everything on the O.

SI - Chargers Fire Offensive Coordinator Joe Lombardi, QB Coach Shane Day

The Chargers announced on Tuesday the firing of offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi and passing game coordinator/quarterbacks coach Shane Day.

The moves come just three days after the Jaguars’ historic wild-card comeback over Los Angeles. In the first half, Jacksonville was down 27–0 but rallied to win 31–30 with a last-second field goal.

The Chargers will now look for replacements to join coach Brandon Staley. Additionally, the new hires will work with quarterback Justin Herbert next season.

No surprise and as predicted Lombardi is the sacrificial lamb that allows Staley to continue as HC. Glad to see Lombardi go but can’t say the offense performed any worse than the defense all season long

Definitely a step down from the prior offensive line coach

telling tale of how terrible his halftime NON-adjustments were,

Both sides of the ball suffered significant injuries. However the Dolphin game to me showed what Staley is capable of scheme wise. We were all convinced Hill and Waddle would run all over this team. No Bosa and basically no DTs. I never saw any offensive scheme changes with Keenan and Mike missing sporadically. Just the same old stuff over and over.

reason why it is easy to defend this O and the run? EVERYBODY is packed within 10 yards of the LOS.

Definitely not a Brendan Nugent fan so I would not be unhappy with getting rid of him as well as our RB coach Derrick Foster.
