Now the Broncos are well positioned, the Chiefs are in the Super Bowl again. But hey we got Kellen Moore. It just doesn’t matter
Appreciate the good things you do have.

Well 2022 is over for 30 of us SB wannabe teams. LAC's 2023 offseason is off with a bang. The dreaded Lombo is in exile and an imaginative young vet OC is in charge of assembling the staff and player personnel in a more successful running, downfield passing and scoring offense.
2 weeks and counting to the end of July.

Second, what does cutting Feiler and D. Hopkins do to the 20.4 million cap overages?

Boltknob grasps this much better than I do. I am far too left brain for accounting.
Teams must be under the cap by March 15th for the upcoming year.

If we cut Feiler, we save $6.5 million in cap space.

If we cut Hopkins, we save $1.4 million.

            Hopkins is worth keeping IMHO.

the bummer was that the two guys i was really excited to see (Woods and Spiller) barely played, but the later picks did produce.

It won’t matter. Names will change, players will be let go and new ones signed. Coaches will be changed. It won’t matter. Charlie Brown’d again.

We can keep Dicker cheaper though. And he was great. Hopkins was good too but the cap is tight.
We can also cut Murray and save 2.37 mil but there will also be a 1.7 dead cap.

What??! I’m so okay with that I’m doing back flips! Seriously, Hopkins over Murray is a complete no brainer.

And thats the thing with trading say Keenan Allen - they have to keep his cap until the league year starts. So that gets tricky as if he is released - thats 14.5m or so that comes off the books. Add Feiler and they are good to go for the league year

As you think about cutting this guy or that guy to save room on the salary cap, remember this - those that are cut will have to be replaced, and guess what - the new guy will want to be paid too.
                        THE YEAR OF THE FLIP!

Releasing Allen leaves a $6.9M dead cap. Now if you can guarantee we'll get Allen's replacement in the draft or FA then it's a move worth considering.
Problem is you're not getting an Allen replacement in FA and a rookie is a question mark.

Not sure what the Chargers will do. There are other options. We just have to wait it out.
