Can you confirm my understanding that all NFL teams will have to be under the cap - for the Chargers, it's $20.4 million - by the last day of the NFL calendar and the new announced cap does not apply until March 15th?
Second, what does cutting Feiler and D. Hopkins do to the 20.4 million cap overages?
Boltknob grasps this much better than I do. I am far too left brain for accounting.
If we cut Feiler, we save $6.5 million in cap space.
If we cut Hopkins, we save $1.4 million.

We can also cut Murray and save 2.37 mil but there will also be a 1.7 dead cap.

As you think about cutting this guy or that guy to save room on the salary cap, remember this - those that are cut will have to be replaced, and guess what - the new guy will want to be paid too.THE YEAR OF THE FLIP!

Problem is you're not getting an Allen replacement in FA and a rookie is a question mark.
Not sure what the Chargers will do. There are other options. We just have to wait it out.
