I am on board. Seems like a good hire, and Chargers clearly wanted him.

Young but experienced as OC, a prolific college QB that should relate well with Herbert.

I'm cautiously optimistic. Still in wait and see mode though . . . .

Herbert is way better then Dak, but the rest of the Dallas team on offense and defense is far better then Chargers.........OL, RB's, and defense.....and depth all much better

I hope so too... but Dallas fired him for some reasaon????

Maybe Chargers with a better QB will be a better fit?

Here is what I know about Dallas and Moore.

He was a hold over from Garrett's staff. I suspect Jerry Jones told McCarthy he had to keep him.

When he became OC, McCarthy being a former OC and play calling head coach, was very, very hands on with him. Maybe not such a bad thing to help Moore grow. But as Moore did grow, McCarthy did not loosen the reins. And as Moore grew, McCarthy and he started to see the offense a little different and McCarthy maybe did not agree with all the play calls. But the offense was humming. So how do you prove that you are right and Moore is wrong?

McCarthy knows this is his last season unless the Cowboys go to the superbowl. He wants to call plays. Prescott had a bad season and a bad divisional playoff game. Moore was probably not going to become Eric Bienemy all of a sudden. That is a bad look for a guy who wants to be a head coach.

McCarthy got rid of him. It's his best chance to do it.

Chargers benefit from a stupid decision.

Remember the Eagles fired Andy Reid. The Browns fired Bill Belichek. The Eagles fired Doug Pederson. Good coaches get fired.

Jerry Jones is an escaped mental patient, who now has dementia? Just throwing that out there as a possibility.

Jerrah met with McCarthy, and asked him "What am I paying you for?".

                      I disagree about OL.

The few Cowboys fans I know were happy to see him go, but he had been there a few years so maybe he wore out his welcome.

They're not calling it a firing. "“The club and Moore came to what is described as a mutual decision to part ways, and teams around the NFL searching for a coordinator are aware of Moore’s status,” per the report from DallasNews." Mike McCarthy will be calling the plays next season and some think Moore did not agree to stay if he would not be calling the plays. McCarthy knows he's out next year if he doesn't get the 'Boys deep into the playoffs. It's understandable for an HC with an offensive background to want to call his own plays if his job is on the line.
