Now, Velo -- Zion at $11m is different than Zion at 16-18. The GAC podcasters have Zion at like 16-18, Popper had him at 17m. If Zion truly were in the 35/3 range, I think that is doable

agree. If coaches and FO sign Zion, they've analyzed him differently and they know a lot more than I do so I'll trust them. he was in a pool filled to the lip with bad juju sauce last season.Originally posted by Factotum View PostDmac, I don't dispute any of your pieces either. I am ambivalent about Zion because as it has been stated in here many times, even today, he has pros and cons which pretty much match other viable FAs for the same position. Mayne ultimately it comes down to either a change to benefit both or the devil-whom-you-already-know coin toss!Justin Herbert 2026 MVP Watch

Man, a Walker/OH backfield sounds pretty good, doesn't it? A man can dream.1) Cut Becton, Boz(ret), Dissly, DD, Fisk, and Dupree
2) Re-sign Tart, Hand (4m), Phillips (5m)
3) Sign the ERFA's Williams, Patterson, and Vidal (3m).
4) Sign free agents Cole Strange (OG-1.5 m), Whyatt Teller (OG-10m), Luke Fortner (OC-6.5m), Brunskill (OC-vet min) Leo Chenal (LB-5m), Rashid Shaheed (WR- 14m), Cade Otten (TE-8m) Greg Dulcich (TE-3m), K'Lavon Chaisson (ED 9m), Myers (DT-7.8m), Alec Ingold (FB-6m), Hendrickson (ED-25m), Seumalo (OG-9m), AVT (OG). Jenkins (OG- 12m)

Don't miss about 40 percent of the games in your career. Because of injuries, Slater has missed two out of his five NFL seasons. I love the guy, and it's the harsh reality of the NFL that isn't his fault, but if he suffers another significant injury, Harbaugh and Hortiz are going to have to look at other options, if they aren't already.Originally posted by Riverwalk View Post
I checked a couple of sources and around 15-25 different OT’s went on IR during 2025.
In 2024, neither Alt or Slater were on IR.
I think a player that’s “injury prone” is one that neglects conditioning, nutrition, and a healthy lifestyle.
Alt and Slater seem like the opposite of that. What more can you ask for?

Well, ..ok.
I was wondering where that number was coming from. GAC and Popper,..... especially Popper is nice to read about the team as he is in the room and can ask questions but he isn't a money guy.
GAC is neither of those.
I was thinking between 8-11 for Zion and I'm likely low. But they did decline his option and he wasn't anything great. Could Bozeman take him down? Sure but missing a stunt is missing a stunt.....over and over and teams see that on tape.
I don't see how Teller is much better,.. . though he has made PB's but I'm looking at last season,.not a 2nd team AP in 2021 when he was 26.
Maybe a change of scenery does him better but that's a roll of the dice for what he may demand?

I thought you wanted to be smart with money and not overspend on FAs? 😉Originally posted by Chargers8491 View PostMan, a Walker/OH backfield sounds pretty good, doesn't it? A man can dream.
It's one thing to spend on the worst position group that holds the whole team back and another to drop 12-15 mil on a 3rd TB when you have Hampton and Vidal

I get it but I definitely wouldn't break the bank for him.
Is the guy from the bills next in line.

There was a guy on Twitter - in law school - but the last couple years - he was really good at estimating AAVs. He talked with the "twitter cap guys" as I saw their conversations and he was really good. And good for him, he is finishing up law school and was hired by the Detroit Lions. So alas, no more of his estimates as I would have much more faith in him than Spotrac, the GAC guys or Popper. I mean, he was nails. He piut out a list before free agency and when the numbers can in. And he was very close. Not dollar for dollar but in the ballpark - like 3/35 was actually 3/37 - nothing like these wide ranges for Zion from 11m to 17m AAVOriginally posted by Boltjolt View Post

Good point...IMO, Bolts need to sign a solid C, a solid G and a decent T in FA...the T is the backup in case of injury to Slater or Alt. Also, in the draft, I want a G early and either a C or T for depth. We need depth...QUALITY depth...Originally posted by DerwinBosa View Post
