Not sure the RB position is worth $10M + anymore. Then you have these sort of headaches .Gordon did score 14TDs LY though. You can look at FA this year and you can get someone decent like Mark Ingram for $5m, Tevin Coleman for $4.2M or even Lesean McCoy for $3M.

It is possible a committee of Eckler and one of the above could replace most of the 10 TDs rushing production and w the WRs pick up the receiving TDs at a savings of a few $M.

Depends on the RB. LT in year 4 is worth 13M to any team. MG is not LT. There are very very few RBs to warrant LT money. MG - not one of them

I wasn't a big Gordon fan when he first came to the Chargers. Hesitant and couldn't make guys miss. The part of this that bothers me is that MG III was becoming a much better back. He was starting to make the first guy miss and trucking others last season. If he hadn't been injured on the freak play he might have had his best season. Great receiving threat, big enough to protect PR and running with purpose. He was putting a full game together. Now he's probably gone cuz he's missing the ingredient between the ears.

the only thing I fear with Ek and JJ is the protection of PR. Other than that they are more shifty runners and can make guys miss in the open field. And Ek is just as good at catching...JJ from last year's small sample looked good, too.
