Just reading between the lines here, but I wonder if this is to make room for adding someone with a big contract, someone like Melvin Gordon. Something to think about, at least.
Probably not, but you never know...

Gordon did play college ball at Wisconsin, so there is a connection there and the Packers are in "win-now" mode as Rodgers isn't getting any younger.
I guess it depends on how enamored the Packers are with Aaron Jones and if they think he's good enough to carry the running game basically by himself. A Gordon/Jones tag-team approach could be pretty formidable and would give them a strong running game to lean on while their young WRs are developing.

Jay A jayi has been cleared to play on his repaired knee. If Gordon does commit to holding out, ajayi might be a good addition to the committee. He could probably be signed to a one-year deal relatively cheap. He is a veteran, something the platoon without Gordon lacks, and he has a ring.

He will speak to the media tomorrow.
We are hoping for the best for you Russell.
If you recall,
Chris Hairston,
a semi-serviceable ORT/Swing Tackle for us a few years ago,
had to essentially retire because of a blood condition.
I woke up in a good mood today.
Then I lunched my second front windshield on my truck
in the last 6 months, hitting a rock, or a stray bullet, or something.
With safety camera/Go Pro devices attached,
it's $1k a pop...now this..we knew about MG III....talk to me Russell.We do not play modern football.

Telesco said Chargers placed Russell Okung on active Non-Football Illness list, so he still counts on 90-man roster. Per Telesco, Okung dealt with a pretty serious medical issue in June that he's still recovering from.
