To be clear, im not dogging on Phillips. I just see an athletic LB we drafted who has similar skills who is bigger and as fast. I do NOT think Tranquill is going to take his spot this season but maybe he can in 2020,.....that's all. Just needs some coaching up. And if he don't, that's fine too. Just seeing a cheaper option is all.

This was my ONLY concern about Adderley pre-draft...that's precisely why Adderley fell to round 2, because he missed the combine due to an ankle sprain, and pulled a hammie during his pro day...so they had no 40 time for him...my concern was that Adderley could turn into Verrett 2.0...sure hope I'm wrong...

Edit: All those things that he suffered were minor compared to Verrett. So I wasn't really concerned since they were more soft tissue issue that could be minimized with the right conditioning.

Interesting. Did not expect him to practice at Mike since he was the starter at Will last year. But versatility is key due to injury concerns with Perryman.

I think the idea is that Denzel comes off the field on 3rd downs. Before Davis was added i floated the idea of White playing weak on early downs and in sub packages sliding inside. Which gets a better coverage lb in the middle. And keeps Denzels snaps down. He was on pace for a massive amount of snaps before he got hurt last year. And i dont think he can tolerate it.

One thing is for sure...most players on this D can play another position. Extreme versatility. Big fan of that.
