Interesting how that same Jets team (+ LT & Cromartie) went into #1 seed New England, in the divisional round the following year, and beat them.

Cro even made a big play the final 2 minutes to seal New England's fate.

The cruel irony of being a Charger fan.

Re watching the Raven vs Rams.

Did anyone catch that announcer talking about Harbaugh hiring a 25 years old analyst with a degree in behavioral economics. That he has meeting with all the time.

He reviews all the data and gives Harbaugh the analytics on expected points added and win probability of situational football decisions.

I love that he uses analytics as part of his coaching recipe for success. And then actually has the guts to use the data to make decision like going for it on 4th down in certain situation where the numbers say go for it.

Anything that gives you an edge.

The anayltics say the Chargers pass blocking this year is average. Not horrible. Not good. Average.
The analytics also say Rivers is having a bad year.

The analytics say pay the price to draft Joe Burrow.
      It will be worth it.

Who has it better than us?

Works great for baseball in the regular season but is a cruel mistress in the postseason. Just ask Dave Roberts, he has been stabbed in the back all too often by his Excel spreadsheet. Analytics works in some instances but football is way too involved to get a real read on things. Stats in football can often be very deceiving.

We’ll have almost our whole squad back for the Broncos and I’m curious to see what that looks like.

quick hook for Rivers if he keeps making mistakes. Clown time is over. Lynn can’t keep stacking L’s. We’re 0-3 in the division which is unacceptable. Time to beat the donks like the rented mules they are

Frankly, I’d have some renewed faith in Lynn if he had the cajones to bench Rivers.
                  G-Ro knows.

Teams already do analytics in football.

Harbaugh is just bit more aggressive with it.
                    I like that.

Im not sure what the Chargers do.
But I would love if they were heavy analytics.
Draft picks, free agents, situational football, anything were they can confirm things, find red flags, find more value. Risk reward expected value of drafting a player with these talents in this round. Or expected value doing this at this yard line in these formations and coverages...etc.

And if there is something else that help win another game. Do it.

                    They already do it.
Chargers should embrace more of it.

Something is very wrong with Chargers. From Top Down. If Rivers wanted to stay that contract would have been done. Now they want to Bench him. Classic chargers meltdown and huge fumble in FO with Rivers career.

When was the last time the fired A coach in season? What did whiz do that was so bad to be fired in season? after chargers brought him back for second time.
Whiz and Rivers could not make the offense better this season why?
The defense drafts a DT in first rd and has only had a few good games! why?

we have plenty of talent, overall game plan has been poor for a long time....

The thing I'm most upset by, is that they released this to the media and for a team known for being tight lipped. It's really dirty on their part. Phillip isn't some udfa scrub QB we brought he has been here since day 1 and they feel the need to bench him.
