I'm disappointed with him but let him finish this season out. No one on our roster is any better at QB.

I agree, things have not gone well for many reasons...... Rivers is not inventing new ways to lose..... the TEAM and organization is.......

I heard on sirius NFL radio that Pat Kerwin heard from insiders he knows that Rivers may very well retire at the end of this season to take a job coaching his kids. Chargers owe Rivers enough respect that he finishes this lost season...... its not like we have Elway or marino on the bench needing play time......

Lynn has not earned that, but Rivers has...... no one, even those who dislike or hate Rivers, will ever say Rivers was not going balls out on every play trying to win.... things may not have worked as planned or intended but Rivers is the ultimate effort guy. He was never krissy evverette.... or jeff duck and cover george......

I was reading this article on ESPN.

Basically saying that Rivers and Cam Newton could swap places. But I see Rivers retiring instead.

Agree. I wasn't a fan even when he was healthy so coming off two years of injuries is even more of a reason to pass on him. Honestly, if we are moving on from Rivers, let's go with a rookie QB for start building for the future now. Wasting a year with the "bridge QB" in Taylor is literally just giving up on the season before it begins. I haven't heard a single person who thinks Taylor is the long term answer so don't waste time on him.
