He is the superior Bosa and an elite player. Of course all 3 other DL along side him are elite, too. And he has an elite LB behind him. And Ward has turned out to be a great CB.

Yes but with 4th string OT. I’d focus on C and OG where we aren’t even 2 deep. IDL and Edge I would almost rate higher as well.

Certainly could use them. The fact that we still have borderline 1st string talent on OL and almost no backup worth a shit is frightening and a testimony to what a piss poor job Telesco has done.

DL is better but could still use another pro bowler. Look at SF. They have 4 round one picks on the DL and it shows!

I noted the DL info that was shared last night during the game by the announcers. It is pretty impressive how many top 5? draft picks the 49ers have used for DL the last 5 years or so. And all of them are great players. Then the announcers said, "Lots of teams just draft a QB high, but not the 49ers. They build the DL and minimize the QB" Except they forgot this is the team that traded up to draft Lance with a top 5 pick. So, yeah.

It is kind of amazing that you can plug an average or below average QB in to Shannahan Jr offense and they look pretty good. Thinking back to guys like JT Sullivan. And now Purdy. It is also amazing how frequently 49er QBs suffer severe injuries under Shanahan.

A great OL helps too. Purdy had light years more time to pass then Geno last night.

I think you can plug average RB’s behind a top OL and they outperform too.

Unfortunately, Telesco/JS thinks you get round 1 RB’s and stick them behind round 3 or worse OL talent.

Poor Herbert. I hope he doesn’t get stuck with the shitty OL’s Rivers had most of his career.
