Hey ninja, you and Steve have me leaning in on Antonio Gibson.
I am gonna go back and look,
and try and decide
whether or not he can beat press coverage.
There's a lot to like with this dude,
albeit with a narrow sample of work,
as to how he was used.
His 'vision' seems to be building a strong defense, with emphasis on running the ball well on offense.
The quarterback's role will be mitigated to being a mobile game manager who can keep defenses honest, and scramble for first downs on occasions.
It's not really a vision and preparing a team to execute and exploit other's weaknesses is still fundamental regardless of your system.
Feeney & Tevi are good run blockers...which might mean that they are here to stay. They didn't fit in when Rivers was qb...but that wasn't the thought process.
To reiterate, as I see it, his vision includes Tyrod at the helm. That is why I don't think it's going to work out the way he thinks it will.
Great defense helps, run game helps, but kc can score really fast and no defense holds them off forever. So you can shorten the game and try to play perfect keep away and score, but that won't always work. Teams like kc can turn it on at any time and score fast even in a shorter game. Point is, there will be times when our qb will have to make some big throws to keep up. I don't think Tyrod is that guy.
Tyrod will be 31 before this season starts. He is not the long term solution.
Fun fact Tyrod and TB12 have the same BDay.
Rivers left this franchise at around 38 years old. Hard to say what the owners are thinking long term. If we are stuck with tyrod for 5+ years, that's long term in today's NFL where teams are moving things and turning it around quickly.
I hope that's not their thought process but nothing would surpise me here.
If we really do go with Taylor as our starting QB, it will work out for him exactly the same as it did in his last two teams - eventually benched and cut due to lack of production by the offense. He is what he is, a journeyman, solid backup QB that has never been nor will ever develop into, a capable starting QB.
Hey, whatever it takes. What the organization has been doing has resulted in 0 championships.
The current gods are not fans of the Bolts, obviously. Sounds like a good time to change’em up.
Little football magic in our favor is long overdue!
Maybe we could have a shrine built for Jobu...just don't drink his rum.
Brees heading back to New Orleans
Bridgewater probably done in NO - maybe a team like the Dolphins pony up the cash; the Bears possibly could
Chargers should look into him - though not at 30m per year

The Super Bowl and AFC championship game proves you wrong.
