Allegedly, 'Fins coach Brian Flores wanted Herbert over Tua.
Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores reportedly preferred the team select Justin Herbert over Tua Tagovailoa in the 2020 NFL draft.
"...Flores prefers 'bigger, strapping pocket passers' ... 'numerous' people around the league have heard Flores wanted Herbert..."

This was discussed in the NFL thread. No need to talk about how bad Tua is here or about the Dolphins.

I saw a clip where Adam Schefer said on ESPN Herbert is on a HOF trajectory
WOW
We must win during his rookie contract, we must win a Superbowl very soon my friends.
I don't think anyone is talking about regression such as an RGIII anymore.migrated from chargerfans.net then the thenflforum.com then here

It is hard to believe in the optimistic projections concerning Herbert's future. The Chargers excel at self-sabotage. Spanos is to blame. He's a bungler. He bungled away Rivers' career, and he's perfectly capable of doing it with the new qb.
Didn't Spanos hire a coach who thought Tyrod Taylor was a better QB than Rivers? The same coach thought Tyrod was a better option than Herbert.
Archie Manning understood that the Chargers have a serious systemic problem. It is the owner. He wouldn't let his son sign a contract with the franchise because he understood that it was damaged in the biggest way. It's fortunes won't ultimately change until there is a new owner

So if and when the chargers win the super bowl with Staley, Herbert and co. What will your narrative change to? But they've only won once? We should have more? This team is very young with an excellent coaching staff in a great foundation going forward. Swallow your bitter pill and enjoy the ride.
