Josh Allen 2020 season vs. Justin Herbert rookie season
(Josh on left, Justin on right)
This is just unreal. I mean unfvcking real. Josh Allen is in his third season. Herbert is not only a rookie, he
1. Had a shortened off-season with no OTAs
2. No preseason games
3. Was not prepared to be the starter before the season/took mostly 2nd team not 1st team reps throughout the summer
Yet he steps on the field in week 2 and plays and puts up numbers equal to some of the elite QBs in the league.
interesting opinion...
Would anyone here trade Herbert for Burrow preinjury?
I might be able to understand if someone would but it’s a big fat no from me.
if yes, tell why.
No I would not. This PFF anal ysis is not in fact very analytic. It's mostly opinion based on the writer's own biases.
I'd have been fine with Burrow. He is going to be a very good NFL QB. We'll see after three seasons how both are doing. Not that I care, I'm just glad Herbert is panning out like he is.

Justin Herbert was better than Dan Marino's rookie season. Marino's second year was his monster.

If.... and I mean IIIIIIIIFFFFFFFF our beloved organization can gift us a new sold intimidating Oline. Something to fear. Then you will see JH put up some insane 2nd year numbers. We desperately need a top 10 oline. If we do we will see the playoffs next year and many years to come.
2 top oline free agent signings.
4 of our 9 draft picks should be Oline.

Yes but that was 1983. QBs from that era get a pass from todays QBs and Marino's stats are a lot better than Elways stats from then IMO. If Marino had todays rules, he may own every record out there. 48 TDs and over 5k yards in his 2nd season were unheard of.

That's why I mentioned Danny. Being a Fouts fan and seeing Marino do that in 1983, was pretty deflating as a Charger fan. I simply used The Dan Marino as a growth chart for Justin Herbert.

Welcome to VIRTUAL Banquet Season, young man. Well deserved.
There...fixed it for 'ya!
Unfortunately, due to Covid, when Justin gets trophy, it'll probably be sent to him via Amazon, and instead of a banquet, it'll be a Zoom meeting, where he's munching on a plate of KFC in his kitchen...
Still, my congratulations to Herbie for an amazing season...
