I expect Darrisaw to be moot point because Carolina might just take him off the board. Slater could actually fall into the Chargers lap. I’d be fine with that, no worries :smoking:

We need to get away from insults and arrogant supposition, of which I myself have been guilty. Just say what you like about the prospect, leave our opinions and motives out of it...I promise to do the same.

I do not see a CB early.
As LAC HC I expect he'll follow a plan based on a different roster with different player personnel, different coaches & different talent available.
My guess CB on day 1 - 2.. S day 2 or 3.

Around here.
IMHO.
BTW.
I still see OL I like
where there has not been
a peep at TPB.
I prefer BVA. Best Value Available.

I’ve got Darrisaw as OT3. It’s hardly fawning.
But it’s true, without those warts he’s a top-10 player, bar none. Fortunately, those warts are removable, unlike the warts of having short arms and light anchor.
But even with his warts Darrisaw’s a top 20 talent.
Between picks #14–#21 there’s 5 teams that’d be ecstatic to draft him. We’re fortunate to be in such a good position. Our quarterback is a golden god.

LAC '21: Nasir. Derwin. MDavis. The rest of them.

I am high on Campbell
&
CHJ has a quarter tank of gas left to burn.
We definitely need DB depth,
but do not require a shut down Corner opposite MDavis.
My unpopular take.We do not play modern football.

13 is a good spot. Every draft there are usually only 12-20 players that are genuine 1st round talents the rest are need picks or projections. iIf we stick to our script we should get a damn good player that can help us.

This is like the Shannahan QB thing, except operating properly. Staley can take middling CBs and make them good by his system so he doesn't need to use premium draft capital on the position. For some reason Shannahan is apparently set on taking average talent with a lot of draft capital attached to prove his system works. I'm confident Staley could turn PS2 or to a lesser extent Horn into stars, but he can take a second or third rounder and make them a really good starter. That's good enough. It frees up those premium picks for other positions he's less able to develop and needs more talent to maximize.
