In each instance, I responded in a light hearted manner.

I actually thought the soccer player getting blasted on his bare cheeks with cooling spray talcum was pretty damn funny (you might remember.)

Incivility can be the consequence of incessance.

It is good that we have strong, intelligent, passionate Charger fans here at TPB, such as Boltnut and Bolt Dude. It is close to draft day. Of course it gets a little testy, as each fan has their own solutions.

Have a great draft countdown, Nutty, Dude and everyone !

Just watched this interview of sports analyst Todd Mcshay on Rich Eisen...oh my god a run on QB's plus wide receivers before we pick is a chargers wet dream. Make it so McShay...lol!

In this mock, we trade down to 20 with Chicago. Don’t know anything about the choice at 20.

          https://theathletic.com/2523362/2021...value-options/

          13. ***TRADE***

          Los Angeles Chargers get: Nos. 20, 83 and a 2022 second-round pick

          Chicago Bears get: No. 13

          Pick: Mac Jones, QB, Alabama
          20. Los Angeles Chargers (via Chicago Bears): Azeez Ojulari, Edge, Georgia

Another tough decision in this mock: Leave the Chargers alone at No. 13 so they could take Darrisaw or move back, add picks and see what’s there at 20? Obviously, we’re in the latter scenario and on the board is maybe this draft’s top edge rusher. If you have to face Patrick Mahomes twice a year, it’d be great to toss an Ojulari-Joey Bosa combo at him.

Value option: Daelin Hayes, Edge, Notre Dame. He’s an active defender who has no issues playing the run or dropping in coverage. There’s also plenty in his game as a pass rusher to suggest he can be a quality contributor.

If we trade down, I'd prefer not to go past #15 or 16...

              Alright you
              Trenchers with tight sphincters.

              About this arm length shite...

Are you even aware that AVT was dinged up vs Thibodeaux ?

As Ben Fennell just stated on GAC podcast, arm length is but one factor. It is to be combined with other components, such as game tape, and ability to compensate with technique, like independent hand work.

Let's take other measurables. There is the forty time and there is the 10 yard split. Cannot leave out the 3 Cone or the Short Shuttle. But then there is this thing called "ease of movement." You see, effective NFL athleticism is not based merely on results from a track meet, an electronic timer or a tape measure.

So who do you want, Leatherwood or Slater ?

              I'm just getting started...

Mostly agree there, Wood. If we go by this arm length chart, statistically there appears to be an edge to the Elastotackles, though there are MANY OT's performing at a high level in the 32"-33" T-Rex range. So, correct, arm length can be a factor in performance; however it is not the only factor. Game tape and quality of competition to me are the biggest factors.

Can’t go by the draft trade chart for top 10 picks, you have to entice the other team to want them to do it. Next years first to get a player of Sewell along with this years 2nd is a bargain.

There was a 6th in there as well. Still, if he gets past the Bengals, trading to #7 would be better.

I think either Atlanta will pick a QB or a team will trade up with them for one.

This chart does show there are more than a few successful OTs that have excelled with less than ideal length.

This chart also shows the hit rate on ideal + length players is significantly higher.
