The odds that Sewell is still on the board with the Bengals drafting #3 overall are pretty much zero. The next OT is rated a good 10-20 picks lower. Let's say Parsons and Surtain II are still on the board. I would say Parsons is 50/50 to be on the board at #5 overall and Surtain II is probably 95% likely to be on the board at that point.

In that scenario, Parsons is likely the BPA, Surtain II fills a lower priority need, and OTs like Cosmi and Leatherwood are rated 10-20 picks lower. Humphrey at C seems to be rated as a late first-early second round prospect.

While I do not necessarily disagree with your prioritization, if it were up to me, I would be hard-pressed to pass on Parsons if he were on the board at that point with Sewell gone.

What would you do in that scenario?
I think we’re on the same page, I tend to exaggerate in November
we can’t sacrifice too much value at other positions of need (CB, DL)
I suppose I’m advocating for an aggressive targeting of Sewell with our first.
my second choice would be to trade down a spots and selecting a blue chip OL prospect (Davis specifically)
I love Parsons and Surtain as prospects, im just a bit resentful of this pattern of picking so-called “game changing defenders” in promise for this defense, that ultimately still depends on James’ health
im also growing impatience with his health status to the point that I’ve suggested using him as trade bait if it ensures us Sewell
essentially starting from scratch on defense, but it’s worth considering, my consideration at least.

      lots to mull over
      Lota of time too

        There you have it folks.
        Day1 starter at ORG.
Successor to Bulaga if he can overcome perceived short arm deficiencies at OT.
Duke Manyweather loves Rayshawn, and he would know,
as Duke has mentored the prospect.
I still like Darrisaw for us at ~10.

going into next season am good w/Tillery @end and Bosa @LEO for now.... don't want to be stacking high draft picks.

          Tillery/Rochell
          Joseph/draft pick
          JJ/Cortez
          Bosa/Nwosu

from what eye know now, won't be overly disappointed if we end up w/Rousseau (not overly enamored w/the Kwity Kat), but am leaning rolling the dice on a trade down.... (think we're over.... due)

and a Derrick Brown woulda been nice, but can't fix it all in one draft/off season.... priority is the Oline and JH, and 'specially given that there seems to be some solids @guard this next draft ??

don't see a whole lot @3T yet.... Tufele looks solid and your Daviyon guy looks formidable, and.... wouldn't want to look Justin (Herbert) in the eye w/JJ and Broughton on the bench for a rook, when JH10 has still got Swiss cheese in front of him.
End result, we still ain't getting no pressure and Bosa getting double teamed. I hope Bradley is gone so the next DC has some creativity.

                Here's your rundown...

                Lawrence (JETS)
                Fields (JAGS)
                Chase (BENGALS)
                Surtain II (COWBOYS)

                Lawrence/Fields 1-2 no brainer.

Bengals hopefully roll with Jonah Williams @ OLTand go for Burrow's fellow Bayou Bengal J'Marr Chase to replace AJ Green. BTW Burrow was injured due to IOL problems !

Cowboys are stuck with OTs injury prone elite Tyron Smith and very good La'el Collins, under expensive contracts for several more years. Zack Martin. Cam Erving. Plenty of shit going on already at OL there. They have Vander Esch and Jaylon Smith (retain) at Off LOS LB, so no Parsons there. Furthermore DB Awuzie will be too expensive to retain. CB = PON. Therefore they go with Surtain II.

                ALL BEST CASE SCENARIO.

LAC @ #5...Sewell vs Parsons vs trade down w/QB hungry team.

Machine let me trade down to 15-25. Numerous teams will want Trey Lance or Zach Wilson. We could easily get two OLs + PRS with Rd1, Rd2, Xtra Pick. Then we get to Rd3 and two picks, with the Rivers Comp. That would be for DB and whichever PON we end up with following roster subtraction(s).

This draft is deep at our PONs, especially OL, PRS, DB. We need to get younger and transition to the Herb era. I actually have RB 1b as a high PON due to impact and EKs profile. We can get a whole lot of bang for our buck Herb has that additionally. Controlling pace and clock is very helpful to a defense and W-L record.

                2021 Draft in a nutshell.
We do not play modern football.

WR i think we need another playmaker. We dont have 3 really good WRs. If Keenan or MW both go down for a game, that group is kinda weak and it will be the Hunter Henry show.
I do not think there any position that needs upgrading more than OL. After that its edge rusher and CB.

I think the team can get by with the RBs and WRS - they cannot continue to have a half good OL. I understand injuries but build up the OL

The ghost Draft Parsons/Carman 1-2 would be fine, but dagummit, let's argue.

I like Parsons at MIKE/PRS. Murray to WILL. Tranq to SAM.
                    SAM
Carman I project to ORG#1 w/Bulaga successor strong possibilities.

I saw that tweet from DJ - interesting where he ranks the OL.

I think that is good for the Chargers - the more options the better

Hell, DJ might be making the damn pick

Totally into the trade down scenario if we can pick up another 2nd. Having 5 picks in the top 100 would go a long way in filling some gaps.
I give, though....what the hell is a PRS?

I endorse this. Get a top RB and leave the OL, and he’ll be hit behind the LOS. Upgrade the OL and a lot of late round/UDFAs can gain yards. Not sure between edge and IDL, though assuming Mel is gone, Edge moves to top of list. CB next, also agree with this.
