      Joseph $7.5 mill

The other thing you have to remember with Pitts, is that he can't play inline TE, and is never going to be that kind of player. So, there is the additional cost, and more importantly the difficulty of finding an inline TE to fill that role in our O. He can be an outstanding weapon, but he is not ever going to be an inline TE to hold the edge blocking offtackle (outside zone).

I am not against cutting either, but since I really don't see the point in yet another year of pissing away FA money, not sure we need to, except to clear roster spots for guys to play.

MW I think would be a better TC decision. See if Guyton and Johnson are pushing it, unless we need the money for other FA on our list. But most of the vets on our list I am not feeling like we need to massively overpay to keep. Guys like Feeney, Lamp and Tevi should be brought back, but they aren't going to get starters money, at least not on this deal. Give them a couple mill per season on a short deal and a contract that voids if they make the pro bowl or PFF ranking of 85 or better. ... otherwise don't let the door hit you in the ass ....
Hayward, Turner, and Harris are all expendable... because they can be replaced by better/younger/cheaper. Joseph, though...? I'm not so sure.

Totally agree with you in regards to Pitts... not an inline... probably never will be. 1-dimensional. Gronk and Kelce aren't 1-dimensional. I don't believe that HH is Kelce or Gronk... but 2-dimensional TE's are better for their overall offenses. Why use 2 players to do the work of one...? I like our TE group. Bring them all back.

In regards to MW... if you keep MW until TC (or any other time after March 17th) then you can't use his salary for other needs. I think Mike could be a weapon... maybe even live up to that $15.6 million. But maybe just not with this team. KA is our #1. He will be until he hangs them up. This team may need a #2 WR. But they need other things way worse than that... use that money in FA... and get another draft pick... if you can.

Feeney, Lamp, Tevi may work out eventually... but what if you used MW money to get you a center and a guard...? Good ones. Corey Linsley and Ethan Pocic.
WR #2 can be drafted... maybe with the same damn pick we get for MW...

I'm not saying Tevi, Feeney and Lamp are answers. I say you bring the back and then bring in everyone you can to compete. If you squeeze them out prior to OTA's because you could bring in enough other bodies to compete.. so be it. Besides, they are not going to break the bank. THey are jsut being brought in as competition or depth, but if they don't make it, oh well....

I can already tell you that signing high priced FA is not going to work. It never does. We will sign 2 guys, they will feel pretty good about themselves and not push themselves like they used to and will suck.

Again, some of you need to doa better job of following other teams. The vast majority of guys who change teams, especially the high priced guys just suck. They only stick around for a couple of more years because they are too expensive to cut.

You think that because they are so-so players you are getting what you paid for, only their play drops off after they get the big deal. They are entrenched as a starter and they suck balls. It happens year after year after year, and it never changes. Yet fans for bad teams pray for cap space because they think it is a quick fix. It's not.

By the law of averages with the amount of linemen TT drafted you would think one of them would turn out well but its like he is sabatoging the one draft picks.

Normally, yes. Because the guys that hit FA went unsigned for a reason... Franklin, Okung, Pouncey. We went 12-4 when Okung and Pouncey both played one whole season. This year will be different because of cap reduction along with a few teams that have been "re-structuring" older QB's... and now they're in cap hell (Saints, Falcons, Steelers, Packers). Teams will be cutting guys out of financial reasons... not production reasons.

And I'm not signing a bunch of high priced players... I'm signing one... Corey Linsley. And I'm not against signing Lamp, Feeney, and Tevi... as long as they're cheap. But that could as easily go for Groy and Toner. We have 20 roster spots to fill... obviously not all of them can be high priced FA's...

BTW... I don't think Tevi signs for cheap. He'll convince someone he's a swing tackle.

Might I suggest Buffalo and Cleveland...?

                  Maybe Seattle...?

                  All playoff teams... no...?

Look at how they each fixed their OL's...

Cole Toner has showed pretty darn well in his snaps at ORG. I’ll do my season review over the next week. Toner over Feeney and Lamp is a definite consideration if either balks at a very team friendly short term deal.

I would also argue that Groy started to show promise before ending up on the COVID list. In any event, they should be cheap competition for backup spots along the OL.

                          WALKER LITTLE - OT - STAN - SR - 6’7” / 320#
Big, physical, high football IQ, strong, powerful people mover, excellent footwork, punch timing is solid, location of proper hand placement needs consistency, powerful grip strength, hip torque allows to toss/uproot defenders, nasty finisher that loves driving opponents into the grass, devastating down blocker, easy mover to 2nd/3rd levels, move skills allow to make scoop/pulls/fold/screen blocks, needs better timing on inside powerstep to shutdown inside moves

                          MYRON CUNNINGHAM - OT/OG - UAR - SR - 6’7” / 325# - (TC)
JUCO transfer, physically overpowering at times in 2020 (really showed improvement from 2019 with the added 25# of muscle), decent agility, powerful viselike grip strength, hands on play is over for opponent, 1sack allowed in past 2 seasons, solid stunt recognition, easy mover to 2nd level, creates rowdy impact movement @POA, plays thru whistle, needs time @ OG before sliding out to OT

2019 playing ORG where I envision him.

                          DAN MOORE JR - OG - TAMU - SR - 6’5” / 315# - (TC)
3 yr start @OLT, no sacks allowed in 2020, excellent vertical mover, good lateral agility, mirroring skills greatly improved from 19 to 20, excellent sort sets, phenomenal grip strength, people mover @POA, punch placement is wildly inconsistent, physical/nasty finisher
