if you need a pass rusher, are you gonna have any picks to work with or do you need to dig deep into the UDFA ranks ??

McNeese State added an amazing edge rusher in Isaiah Chambers (nfldraftdiamonds.com)

and this guy could turn your whole DB gameplan on its ear....

    Lol.
    My trading offers were rejected.
We don't have Justin Tucker or anyone else. We have the current roster in need of bookend to Bosa and new lockdown corner as Hayward is aging past his prime.

    2021 Draft.
    Rd1. P.Surtain II CB
    Rd1. C.Basham Jr DE

    Please and thank you.

Sorry pulled a Telesco and move back into rd 1 for Basham-DE as I just didn't want to settle for someone else.
    So I traded the 2nd and 3rd.
Im all done. I'll pass the pipe to you
    You can pick the Comp pick, 4th, 5th, 6th, 6th, 7th
    6 picks to work with.
    Good Luck.

KC drafts for their trenches every year.
We need help up front on both sides of the ball.
FA, draft multiples - early/mid/late, day 3 a couple skill position “rough gems”.

Be selective, instead of we must draft Oline rounds 1 thru 7.

You'll appreciate this, ninja Draft Expert.

I touted Mitch Morse and Laurent Duvernay-Tardiff...
that required serious research, and mining of talent.

Now, I am looking for value and fit at Oline, technicians and earth movers, scheme flexible types and specialists...

Another player I touted was Stefon Diggs. Maybe you've heard of him. Many call him NFL WR#1 currently.

Diggs was a round 5 selection by MIN. Talk about value ! He was red flagged because of an incident at Maryland. Diggs is hyper-competitive and got into a brawl during the coin toss one game lol...why I like Ja'Marr Chase/DeVonta Smith at the top of this draft. They play football with intensity.

In spite of our current WR population, an upgrade creates huge mismatches everywhere. WR is the emerging position of impact. Elite WRs make plays that win close football games. They help you smoke opponents with explosive runs of points in the second quarter. And Herb is throwing the football.

Whether it's level of competion, or athletic shortcomings, or red flags, or ANY perceived negatives, I hope more and more TPBers put their scout's eyes on this prospects.

Don't worry about bad picks--I have touted scrubs--NFL scouts bat .500 . With this short college season, we need you to get after it. Google Micah Parsons highlights. Start there. Help Herb hoist the Lombardi...chance of a lifetime.

I did some diving into rosters of 10 top NFL teams (Seahawks, Saints, Packers, Bills, Titans, Colts, Steelers, Browns, Ravens, Chiefs). I looked at offensive positions and draft rounds to find out which positions successful teams covet. More importantly, which rounds do they target certain offensive positions.

Certain positions got more tallies (WR) because many teams start 3 WR's and other positions got less tallies (OC and RB) because only one player starts at that position. I have 12 RB's tallied because a couple of teams have RBBC. Here are the results:

                OT:
                1st: 9
                2nd: 4
3rd: 4 (Teron Armstead/Orlando Brown Jr). Small school status and Combine performance (?) affected draft slot. Nutty drafted both in the 2nd round mocks.
4th: 1 (David Bhaktiari). He's performed much better than expected. Packers never let him go. They let 1st rounder Bulaga go before Bhaktiari.
                5th: 1
UDFA: 1 (Alejandro Villanueva). Military commitment and playing college TE position probably hurt his draft chances.

                OG:
                1st: 5
                2nd: 2
                3rd: 3
                4th: 3
                5th: 2
                6th: 2
                UDFA: 1

                OC:
                1st: 2
                2nd: 5
                4th: 2
                5th: 1
                UDFA: 1 (Matt Skura)

                WR:
1st: 4 (Half of them drafted by other teams and let go)
                2nd: 8
                3rd: 6
                4th: 2
                5th: 4 (Tyreek/Diggs)
                7th: 1
                UDFA: 5

                RB:
                1st: 1 (Edwards-Helaire with the 32nd pick)
                2nd: 4
                3rd: 4
                4th: 1
                5th: 1
                7th: 1

Trends: Trenches are important. OT's in the 1st round, OG's and OC's in the 2nd round, WR's/RB's in 2nd and 3rd rounds.
Certainly schemes and offensive coordinators play a part.

Unfortunately, this year my 2nd rounder is reserved for pass rusher. Which leaves OC/OG for 3rd round... or FA.

                  Free agency:
OC Corey Linsley. Packers are in cap hell. (Market value: $8 mil)
OG Ethan Pocic. Seahawks also have cap issues. Pocic is emerging talent and young. (Market value: $4-5 mil)
OG Danny Isadora. Steelers also in cap hell. Isadora is young and unproven. But I liked him in college. (Market value: $2 mil)
OG Forrest Lamp. A re-sign. As long as he's not too expensive. Hasn't really proven he belongs. (Market value: $3.5 mil)
OC Dan Feeney. See Lamp's description above. Feeney backs up Linsley. (Market value: $2.5 mil

The IOL positions are mostly young and inexpensive. There is some experience and all are improving or on the verge of emerging. Also allows us to cut Trai Turner... which allows us to go on this FA spending spree in the first place. Linsley is the one player that I spent more money on because he's proven and fits well with Bulaga and Campen (Green Bay connection).

To round out this OL, I'd draft an OT in the 1st (if mid-round) or 2nd (if top-10). Let's say we're mid-round choosers... and we choose Rashawn Slater with the 12th pick.

                  LT: Slater
                  LG: Lamp
                  OC: Linsley
                  RG: Pocic
                  RT: Bulaga

Competing for depth: Feeney, Isadora, Quessenberry, Pipkins, Norman.

With IOL taken care of... my draft could look like this:

                    1st: OT Rashawn Slater
                    2nd: DE Patrick Jones II
                    3rd: LB Chazz Surratt
                    3rd: CB Elijah Molden

I immediately improve my OL (both run blocking and pass blocking) with Slater in the 1st and my FA pick ups. I've got depth and I haven't broken the bank.
I get improve my pass defense with picks in round 2, 3a, 3b. Sub in your favorite DE's, LB's and CB's... but the slotting works. And those positions are PON.

Linslley is a good find for OC. I like it. I think I am keeping Trai Turner at RG - he has been a good player for two long Granted, if you cut Turner, you better have a guy signed who is at least as good as he is. Turner can always re-work his deal to get the cap number lower

I think today, Linsley or David Andrews would be top targets in FA for OC. Thats where the Chargers really need to improve. Get your OT in the draft.

Unfortunately, there probably is no Corey Linsley without cutting Trai Turner. Linsley will probably cost between 8-9 million/year. Where does that money come from? Fans are saying, "We have 33 million cap space" without realizing that we only have 32 of 51 players signed to next year's roster. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/cap/2021/

I love David Andrews. I was his biggest (only) proponent 5 years ago during the 2015 draft. But that cap space link above will also show that the Patriots have the most cap space... they'll probably re-sign Andrews before he ever hits the free market... same goes for Joe Thuney. I'm targeting players from teams that have cap issues next year... knowing that there is a good chance can't be re-signed and will hit the free market.

I'd also be considering cutting Mike Williams in March (that's when his 5th year option of $15.6 mil becomes guaranteed). Tyron Johnson (a free agent at season's end) has been more productive than MW over the last 3 games. And Guyton has been nearly as productive as MW during the whole season. Even if you do retain MW for next year (and his 15.6 mil contract) you still have to re-sign him for 2022 and beyond. Was he ever worth his draft slot and salary...? With Allen, Guyton, Johnson, Reed, and Hill on the roster... I'm ready to draft a WR in the 4th-7th round and use MW's 15.6 million in FA to get a couple solid players in at other PON. I might start by wooing Desmond King back (Titans are another team with cap issues next year).

And any roster rebuild should start by re-signing those that you want to keep from hitting the open market. Hunter Henry and Michael Davis are priorities IMO. Denzel Perryman, Nick Vigil, Isaac Rochelle, Rayshawn Jenkins, Tyron Johnson, Tevaughn Campbell... and which of the OL do you keep (Tevi, Lamp, Feeney, Groy, Toner)...? Ballage? Green? Jefferson? Square? Nabers? Badgely? Long? There won't be as much cap space as people think. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-age...eles-chargers/
