I think TT will draft for need. In this case, I think it’ll be BPA at PON rather than BPA because we have a lot of holes. I would rather us trade down if we’re going to draft Darrisaw. The problem is that there’s just not that many true LT in this draft that have the measurements and the experience. I was disappointed when hearing about the other OTs measurements. Little is the only other prospect available if we do decide to trade down in the first. But I would like us to protect Herbert’s blind side.

Its a game of inches. And that crosses over into the front office side of things as well. You have to protect your plan at all costs. And that means not telegraphing draft desires. Would anyone be shocked if teams moved in front of us early in the draft to steal CB or OT away from us? lol

I say overpay Carolina for Sewell and be done with that problem.

Popper says the only way we have a chance at Sewell is if the 49ers don’t take Mac.

Logic is that other teams are less likely to overpay for Mac in a trade down with the Lions.
