Unfortunate injury that he may not be the same but, He would of come around with this defense. I wasnt too worried about that. Every high price signing is a gamble. The LT didnt work out, Boston didnt work out, Cox didnt work out...it happens. But this injury isnt a good one.

We'll see how turns out. Most everyone was happy with the signing it when it happened.

In a real crappy division, they would have won a few division titles under Telesco.

I think that is what the counter argument amounts to.

In my book, the guy has been average at best his 10 years here.
Unusual that average performance as GM, with really nothing to show for it, gets you 10 + years.

I wonder if Tom Telesco has that AFC wildcard victory trophy on a mantle somewhere.

        Hyatt 4.40
        Flowers 4.42

Still real good but not as fast as some thought.

        Downs 4.48
        Addison 4.49
        Tank Bell 4.49

Not seeing other names like Tillman. Must be waiting for his proday. Hardly any QBs ran.

That might hurt hyatt, since he's viewed as strictly a speed guy.

4.42 for Flowers should be fine.

Addison is a bit slow, he's not that big .... but then again, acceleration over 10 - 15 yards is huge

I hope Hyatt falls to us badly. He is my #1. Let's get that Tennessee connection with Palmer started.

Tommy Telesco (with John Boy) == BELOW AVERAGE

And its just not about winning the division. Its about putting a consistently competitive team together. Telesco and JOhn Boy have not done that
Again you're not factoring in who the division opponents were that that time. AJ was good. I don't disagree with that. I think he had some ego issues. Again those Charger teams were not up against anything like Mahommes or Manning. I think that is pretty obvious.

AJ was a major asshole who did pretty well executing Butler's plans. He looked like an idiot when left on his own. He wasted the best part of River's career with a crap OL.

We were up against Manning and Brady. Denver didn't have an elite QB, but their team was solid. The Raiders made it to the SB.
The last time we beat Brady was in 2005 under Marty. We did beat up on Manning both during the season and post. The argument
that the division is weaker now can be made. Denver and LV are in the garbage. Take a look at the division in 2005.

Truth is AJ was a big jerk and the combo of him and Marty was toxic.

Which Telesco teams could have beaten any of AJ Smith's Charger teams from 2004 - 2009.

Maybe the 2018 team? None recently.

The 2nd group of WRs is running better than the first group.

                      Palmer and Mims in 4.3's

Making me think we get our speed guy in rounds 2 -3 instead of using 21 on Hyatt or Flowers

I contiune to be intrigued with the best TE draft in 10 years. a stud TE at 21 would be great for Herbert...give him his Gates or Kelce!

Would be happy to get Trey Palmer in round 3

This could be the group we choose from, though one or two of them could be gone before we pick! I'm starting to like either Zay Flowers or Jordan Addison!

                          Jaylin Hyatt - Tennessee
                          Jordan Addison - USC
                          Quentin Johnston - TCU
                          Zay Flowers - Boston College
