    Yep.
Even though the o-line was not most talented.
LT Okung start 15 games. And RT Tevi started 15 games. And the interior RG, OC, LG. Feeney, Pouncey, Schoefield all started 16 games. And Derwin James & Melvin Ingram both started 16 games.

In 2019. Feeney and Schoefield started 16 games. Tevi 14. After that Scott with 9. And Qberry with 9.
So the combo of unhealthy o-line and Rivers in a bit of decline had an impact on success. And other impact players like Derwin James only played 5 starts. Same with Adrain Philips 5 starts.
So they played Teamer at safety.

And now this year. Quite a few starters missing. OC. RG. RT. 60% of the o-line. Derwin James & Harris. 50% of secondary.

Lynn is next man up no excuses.
He won't blame injury for not winning the game.
Who has it better than us?

You are correct every team has injury.

Point was that as too many injury to key starters happen, it begins to affect the ability to win games.

49ers were 13-3 last year and 1st place in the NFC West. And won the conference. They have been decimated by injury this season. And are 2-3 so far. And in last place in division. Unlikely they turn it around. Just too many bodies to replace. The 2 wins Jets & Giants who are a combined 0-10. And they just got crushed last week at home 17-43 by the Dolphins. Their season is not going anywhere special this year. It's not an excuse. It is the reason.
Did Shanahan forget how to coach?

Chargers great HC Gilman said teams the stay Healthy and Interested are the ones that win in the NFL. It was true then. And it is true now.

      That is the point.
As you have admitted, other teams have injuries too. So that is no excuse, though you have repeatedly attempted to make it one.

Lynn and company almost coached away our week 1 win and did coach away our wins in weeks 2-5. The frustration is that this team should be 5-0 right now based upon who our opponent was and where we were in the second half of those games. The bad coaching has absolutely killed us this year.

The 49ers have been .500 since their extensive injuries early in week 2 (including week 2). They lost in week 1 to Arizona before most of their injuries. They are last in the division because their division is arguably the best in football and has three teams with a winning record. There is no comparison between our team and the 49ers other than that they have less talent than we do, but have a better record and better coaching.

2-10 in our last 12 games. 3-13 in one score games since the beginning of last year. We are headed in the wrong direction and in games when the coaching matters the most, we lose disproportionately, which is a direct reflection of our coaching.

Shanahan has a Super Bowl appearance to show for his time when everything was going well; Lynn has a blow out loss in New England.

Stop comparing Lynn with someone who has actually accomplished something.

Right now, one should compare Lynn with those, on the opposite side of the ledger, who previously accomplished little and then had to deal with injuries. Mike McCoy and his one playoff win, for example; that's where the comparisons should begin (& probably end).

Chargers fans would have wanted to fire Shanahan after 2 years. 2017 6-10, 2018 4-12.
His team did have a great run last year. With a very talented defensive line and offensive line.
Kyle is a very good coach. Although his tean was up 20-10 going into 4th quarter. This year will be rough. So many injuries. Probably end up 6-10.

Kyle also was the OC of that Falcon team that blew the lead. So..... Maybe he isn't a great late game coach. I dont know.

49ers have arguably better defensive and offensive lines than the Chargers. So although they have less talent, yes, they possess better coaches and are better in the trenches

Todd Bowles would be a good choice for head coach

Bowles or Jim Caldwell - my two choices today

Consider me 100% shocked if we replace Lynn with a defensive HC
We hired Norv to develop the then ascending Rivers
no doubt we’ll do the same with JH
                G-Ro knows.

Bowles has already failed at being a HC.

thats the kind of logic that is stupid to me

You can hire an OC and QB coach for Herbert
hire somebody like Vrabel - he is quickly becoming my favorite coach -

I saw a pretty good defense yesterday with Tampa - - maybe the Chargers need that

Telescos biggest mistake as GM was not hiring Arians.

The Jets issues have proven to be much deeper than Bowles.

In fact, how far the Jets have fallen, and the fact that TB's defense has improved this quickly, works in his favor.
"...of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong."

thats the way I feel about Jim Caldwell too
maybe thats a low bar but Caldwell did a really good job in Detroit
                          Schwartz might be okay
