I think Subconsciously he thinks he can continue pushing his running schemes after Herbert gets a nice lead to force his way of thinking (or will his way) into a good run blocking team. It's what he does as he's a running backs coach and to a hammer everything is a nail. Given where we're at we should be a pass first run second but no Lynn just like Bradly will force their way of thinking even if it doesn't make sense. Stupid is as stupid does!

He was indirectly doing so. He complemented the Jets defensive line for being tops in effort and energy. He said the Oline got pushed around and perhaps they should have run more on the edges.

Blocking schemes were not placed in question....it was not the 74 Steelers they were playing.
