Harris was the top CB on the market and signed to be a starting CB. King played the slot - 3rd CB. And we don't know how much was his or mgmts fault. The pt is we need CBs and let a serviceable one go aside from who was more at fault. Either way we'll leave it at that.

Harris is a corner that can play outside. But his best position was at slot or nickel.

Seems like a good signing. Pass rusher, also covers ST need... saw a couple of Giants fans who said in short that we got a good one.

It’s nice that he’s a good ST first and foremost, and could serve as a rotational guy at edge.

All of the signings now - and I still think Telesco will target CB or S and another OT in free agency still- allows Telesco the flexibility with drafting. I think OT is still priority number 1 - but maybe he can go Edge in R2 if that is BPA; or an OG/OC like Creed or Davis in R2 - and not just have to target specific needs.

What he lacks in elite traits, he makes up for with a nonstop motor. Just a solid rotational/depth signing, and character addition to the locker room. Charley Hustle....

Some decent veterans still on the CB market. Not sure who the right fit for the Chargers is but they have the cap space to be selective and get the right player. Of the group below - Bouye has knowledge with HIll and Staley from Denver (but I think suspended two more games in 2021); Nelson might be nice. Of the "older guys" - I think Butler over Sherman, McCourty and Norman. I guess the Chargers could bring back Hayward with that new CBA cap rule about veterans counting less against the cap - but not sure if that works if the player is released and brought back

Maybe teams are waiting on CB until after the draft. Seems like a flooded market... maybe get a good deal done after draft?
