If this team did not have Herbert last year and this year. I honestly think, Staley and Lombardi would have been fired already. Herbert has saved these coaches their jobs hands down.
I was all about Staley, watching his press conferences and All In. But I’m sick of hearing the same shite over and over. For them not to make a move at WR knowing Allen had a set back is highly frustrating. If you could have given up 2nd this year and a 5th next year for Claypool, in a heartbeat. 2 reasons why.
1. Control for 1.5 years for cheap
2. Imagine when the team gets back Williams and Allen. Three headed monster at WR with speed for 1.5 years.
Stop making all these videos with All In, Camp Out etc. until you have a winner on the field, shut up and produce the way your suppose to.

That fact never stopped the crowd coming for past coaches with pitchforks. Why should Staley be treated any differently?
I do think Injuries have piled up to an extent that HC and his coordinators have excuses for losing but even when everyone was healthy they still couldn’t win convincingly.
The real problem with this team is the John Spanos/Tom Telesco GM role that hasn’t been able to build any depth whatsoever since Butler was GM and the Spanos family stayed the hell out of what we see on the field.

Depth has certainly been an issue, but if you took away Hill, Waddle, Sherfield, the backup RB, starting LT, and backup TE from Miami, what kind of year do you think Tua would be having?

What could Justin Herbert do if he was given a weapon like those two?
