The problem he would solve is Bosa is injured at least half the time leaving the team with only 2 legit edge rushers & being one injury away from a catastrophe. Plus, to be maximally effective you need a 4 man rotation so you can rotate fresh guys in and out. One reason the Jets line is so tough is because they have 6 or 7 guys they're constantly rotating in and out and they have fresh guys teeing off on every passing down. Mack plays too many snaps if he could take an occasional break he'd be more effective, but he can't come out of the game because that means putting Rumph in, who does nothing.

Stuff like this is why this football team does what it does under Telesco. Small easily avoidable errors reveal themselves in big moments and lead to chargering

The Chargers have beat Kirk Cousins and three backup QBs.

Staley and company need to win the next 3 against the Lions, Packers, and yes the Ravens for me to actually believe in them.

Have to go 6-3 over final 9. Will need to execute late game offense 2 min drills to get enough wins.
Special Teams hopefully can win another game along the way.
If you want a wild card spot, it's simple :

        1- Sweep the Broncos
2- Beat GB, NE and LV (all games at their place !)
3- Beat one of the rest (DET, BAL, BUF or KC) All games at Sofi !

The game(s) you loose at my #1 and 2, you must win them at #3.
        Simple as ABC !

2 out of 3 would be enough for me to drop the the pessimism.

Have Staley continue to strengthen the defense, then fire him.

That’s about where I’m at and my buddy and I said the same thing after the Jets game. We do tend to give the Ravens problems and it’s always a good game. If we get to Goff even half as much as we did Wilson we might be in business against the Lions.

We’ll see and some consistency would be nice coach Staley.

Id even settle for two out of the next three.

After last season, I was bummed we hadn't hired Daboll. I wasn't certain he'd be better than Staley going when each was hired, but it seemed that Daboll had the Giants (with a far worse QB) improving and even winning in the playoffs.

Well, it no longer seems that he's got all the answers as a head coach. Some of the vets are turning on the staff (understandably when you're losing). Watching McDaniels in Miami struggle to beat winning teams also has me pause a little. I don't think Staley is a good coach (in the sense that he seems way too stubborn to his defensive philosophy, even when it doesn't work and gives up HUGE chunks of yards, especially on 3rd downs and/or to good QBs) but I also think he may be equal to the other two I just mentioned, in many ways.

Pederson was clearly the best one we didn't get.

It's difficult to discern between a defense that has given up trying versus a defense that sucks because the coach is in over his head.

In short, that notion is irrelevant because the results of either one are essentially the same.

We do not play modern football.

                      Next 3
                      vs DET 6-2
                      at GB 3-5
                      vs BAL 7-2

                      Difficult but doable.

                      Next 3
                      at NE 2-7
                      vs DEN 3-5
                      at LV 4-5

I see the Chargers at 9-5 or 8-6 before BUF come to town.

I'll give the Chargers credit for the win because ultimately that's all I really care about! What I will say is to me it's pretty weak to call a reset after you just got beat by the better teams and the week before you play the bears etc. it just seems like something a used car salesman would do!
