So Lombo interviewed with the Texans for HC...they also interviewed Hines Ward and Brian Flores. I'm guessing Ward is the token Black they interviewed so the NFL will clear the Texans to hire Lombo or Flores. Ward has a skimpy resume, only coaching for 3 years, never as an OC or DC. It would be quite a jump. I'm guessing the Texans want to move fast on either Lombo, Flores or someone else still to be interviewed.

Okay, I'll give u three reasons:

1. There were a few games we probably could have won, had we aired the ball long a few times to get teams to back off from stacking the box, and stifling our ground attack and short passing game.

2. That, along with NOT dialing up more chipping and blocking help for Norton, like in the Faider game.

3. Finally, some real head-scratcher play calls--like sending Ekkie up the gut twice vs. a stacked box in Faider game...in our own territory...pitiful and predictable...

Those are my three biggest knocks vs. Lombo...

Flores should get the Houston job, if he wants it. He also fits the criteria of a minority hire. Lombardi wants to be a HC, I'd rather him not go, it would be nice for Herbert to have some continuity once in his playing career, since high school.
