When I look at how Murray played that 3rd and 23, it looked like he tries to shake and bake Waller and then went wide around him and open the door for the RB.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he supposed to play that different?

I would suggest Murray attack Waller quickly, strike and shed and then decking the damn RB. And even if you fail, you probably do better than opening the damn door.

When it comes to Murray there are two options to me
1) trade or release him now to clear up long term cap space

2) just figure out his best position and coach his backside off this offseason and if its not clicking on Labor Day - cut him. Granted, you risk injury this way

On Sunday, the Chargers’ season came to an end after losing to the Raiders.


Along the way, some players performed well, and there were a few who struggled.
With that being said, here are the best and worst performers from the Week 18 contest, according to Pro Football Focus player grades.
Note: To be more accurate, this is based on players who played at least 30% of the snaps on offense (93) or defense (80).

Staley needs HIS guys on D, or else, why else is he here?
he took a back seat strategically in his first year and allowed Telesco to use resources build the Oline, which was smart to protect number 10
Staley took the job knowing he would have to make chicken salad outta CS
But with all this cap, and a full slate of picks plus 2
He has to be (and likely will be) given a chance to sign a few vets and draft a true play maker like Lloyd or Dean.

This is all really anyone is going to care about after the Super Bowl is over and the misery of this season ends.... Let's be real its not like we are the Jags, or Giants! Draft right and replace the weaklink players with stars and solid football players that fit Staley's system and its full steam ahead. We have already proven we can go toe to toe with KC. Good enough for right now.

Murray looks weak. Put him on the same meds that Merriman was on back in the day.

And yes, it looks like he was a big part of that 3rd and 23 conversion. The runner went straight to where he was supposed to be.

Murray has no trade value. At this point he's a sunk cost. Unless he's not worth the roster spot, you keep him and see what you can salvage.

Any idea on how they get those ratings? Kind of curious as the big difference between Williams and Ekeler in the rating. Ek had 1 more TD and only 20 less total yards than MW.
