    Ok.
    I will move on.
It is always about the football truth,
and getting LAC over the top.

As you indeed have pointed out,
the SB story is about the stellar personnel moves by the Rams and the Bengals,
prior to and during the 2021 season.

Tom Telesco you are now on the clock...get it right or get out of town.
We do not play modern football.

My thing for Telesco to keep his job
        1) win the AFCWest

        2) if he doesn't win the AFCW - at least win one playoff game

backing in week 17 and get slapped around and losing 34-3 on wildcard week end isn't good enough

He needs more than a few playoff win IMO. But I would have started from scratch last offseason with a new GM and HC.

I would have as well actually. I think we can only hope the Staley influence last spring takes shape this spring

If you continue to do the same thing, you will continue to get the same result.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

I can't get over the idea that the Bengals made it to the SB with OL! Maybe I've been wrong all these years thinking the OL is important?

It is important. I think part of the problem is we forget the long term outlook because of short term success. For example Luck made it to the AFC Championship game behind a bad OL in his third year. But all the toll of being hit finally came to a head the following year. I’m glad the Bengals made it to the SB this year but in order to have sustainable success, they need to protect Burrow also.

Here’s a good counterpoint to going all in and failing badly.

Finally, new braintrust for the Giants. This week (Saturday) is the 10-year anniversary of New York’s last playoff victory—the 21-17 Super Bowl win over New England. That is one long dry spell. New GM Joe Schoen won’t have an easy path with his buddy and new coach Brian Daboll. The Giants have to either fix Daniel Jones or replace him in 2023, and Schoen told me Saturday he’ll have to clear out $40 million from a bloated and mismanaged salary cap this spring.

“When we first got to Buffalo,” said Schoen, who worked for the Bills from 2017-’21, “we had $55 million in dead cap money we had to manage. We had a plan there, and we’ll have one here. We may have to make some decisions that hurt, but I do not want to kick the can down the road with the cap. I want to get it fixed.”

Believe it. Everybody was saying they had to take Penei Sewell and instead they went for a premier skill player and that was the difference
