Hopkins is fine. He’s 31. He should be able to kick at a high level for at least a few years. Ty Long has the slowest get off of any punter I’ve seen in a long time and it’s not like his kicks are good when he gets them off.

I wrote the exact same thing in the Staley thread - not that I wouldn't want a Tucker, Butker or the kid from Cincy but I think Hopkins is good enough. Ty Long needs to be replaced

The Bucs defense is very much different than one Staley runs.

There is are a few cbs available out there who would very much help; they just need to identify them and go after them aggressively.
Bring in only one.....it should only cost them an arm, but not the leg.

Yeah. If you’re going to spend big, spend big on a fit. And who can stay hungry even after getting paid. The second feels like the hardest part to get right in FA.

The main thing needed in Staley's scheme is the ability to diagnose plays. This is a somewhat rare skill and is what Murray and Tillery lack. They are the type of players that benefit from a simpler scheme that have them key on a location rather than the offense.

True, but what many people don't seem to remember is that SanFran wins their Super Bowl against the Chiefs if Garropolo hits a wide open Emmanuel Sanders in the 4th quarter for an almost sure TD that would have more than likely sealed the win for them. He overthrew Sanders around the 20 yard line, if memory serves me correctly.

Just looked it up. He wasn't *that* wide open, but it was definitely a missed opportunity.

Very much so. The fit has to be correct if you are spending big money in free agency. Interesting names for CB

I'm rolling into 2022 W/ DHopkins. As far as punter, deal a pick or two in the later Round and move up for Araiza.

I took P out of my Top 8. But if you're going Punter, go big or go home, right?

Bates would give the defense the flexibility to call Cover One against the Chiefs.

I like trading back and not trading up. Telesco has not been good about trading up - but maybe he trades back and gets a pick in R3 or R4
