Nobody on this board knew as much about football as Norv Turner, Mike McCoy, Anthony Lynn, Ted Cottrell, Mike Riley, or Kevin Gilbride. That doesn't mean any of those coaches was above criticism from the fans.

I agree with your point. in fact, i am not a fan of Lombardi - no creativity when we are having trouble moving the ball. however, the constant "fire X" and "fire Y" threads get old at some point.

Look at that TD pass. All of our receivers ran the same depth routes and curled. Way too bunched up. This offense is garbage.

On third downs we are constantly running routes a yard short of the sticks. Just stupid. Lombos screens suck, no imagination or development in them. The routes make it easy for the other team, they should be making it difficult.

Every team in the league runs lots of plays short of the marker and the player has to get the first. This is nothing unique to Lombardi.

Yes and no. Lombardi runs all his plays at the same depth, most short of the end zone or 3rd down marker. Other teams run multiple depths and spreads. Lombo makes it easy on the players to defend. That is opposite of what he should be doing.
