    Why will this suddenly change?

They had everyone available the first two games.
It would have been nice to lean on the run against K.C., inside the 5, that 4rth Quarter in Arrowhead.

The excuse back then was that it will take the running game time.
Getting everyone back now will no doubt take time again to gel.
    Well, you are right.
    I did say "surprising."
Any idea if Kelley, Spiller are worth a shit ?
We do not play modern football.

If you consider all the times Herbert bailed out the offense on 3rd & eights, or on 4rth downs last year, while getting pressured....
that was unsustainable. Those type of stats fluctuate greatly for a qb.

It made Lombo's offense look a whole lot better.

The O was healthy last year.

Sure, it would have been nice if Telesco got him more than Storm at RT.
Was it Duke Manyweather, or the Charger coaching staff, who go Pip redirected?
Probably both sides: chalk that one up to Staley and staff.

He said a week or so ago that his ribs still move when he presses on them so it’s not like he is close to healthy yet.

Lombardi concepts call for stretching defenses out horizontally.

We see the motion, misdirection and quick passes out in the flat.

This is combined with runs, after defenders have to cover the entire width of the football field.

We will become successful when the run plays become successful.

Throw in occasional shots downfield and plenty of short, medium seam stuff.

The running game requires intricate timing and reps. We started to have a little success there, but have been stymied by Linsley's injuries. The timing will come back.
We do not play modern football.

Amazing what playmakers can do when they are not injured.

I saw some good stuff tonight. I like Lombardi.

Keenan's hammy is loosening up and he is finding space. MW is a problem, even for good Corners like Xavien.

We need Kelley to keep coming on.

                  We will rise with Parham.

                  The confidence will grow.

Parham certainly helps, as McKitty and Rodgers are just guys. I think if we can get Pipkins back and he can stay on the field, it would help much more. Sarell was awful again.

The red zone play calling was still a big problem. Only 2 TDs out of 6 trips. That made the game much closer than it actually was. We dominated in all 3 phases but were a Nick Niemann recovery away from a nail biter

At least there was the one to MW. Some teams are allergic to the Red Zone. See Seattle yesterday. SMH. Enter Parham.

The one series where we had a first and goal from the 5 and did not attempt a single pass into the endzone was pretty disappointing. Carter likely scores if he doesn't stumble, but we have big Mike - try at least one pass to him.
