Someone mentioned, that, the way MG runs, he's bound to miss games, signed or traded. I sort of agree with that, even tho I'm not a pro at analyzing talent.

Just very frustrating seeing all those yards left on the field, all those stopped drives. Plus the missed games. And that dreaded word, degenerative. Who knows what really is going on there but something or else there would be zero mention. Now a holdout and "disrespect" after a raise the team didn't even have to offer when the current contract is more than fair? MG and his agents are just being dumb and greedy. Or smart cuz of his knee? Either way, not hate just more frustration. Sigh.
thats weird - I remember him fighting through 2 or 3 defenders from 3 yards behind the LOS to gain 2 yards his first 2 years. MG ran behind a crap rush OL his entire career. Last year's OL was mediocre and we cheered that huge improvement up until they collectively faded into dust the last quarter of the season. All jmo

MG is usually running against a base rush defense. Eke is usually running against a dime package. Just sayin...DCs care more about a 5 yard gain on first down than they do on 3rd and 7.

                  Here's an interesting stat.
Austin Ekeler averaged 3.44 yards after contact per attempt in 2018.
This put him at #5 in league rankings per PFF.
It makes for a significant data point, and not merely for Fantasy Football.

                    Melvin Gordon's agent requests trade

At last report, the Chargers and Melvin Gordon were still significantly apart in terms of contract value.

And Gordon may be realizing he'll never close that gap with the Chargers.

According to Josina Anderson of ESPN, Gordon's agent asked the Chargers to tradethe veteran running back last week.

Chargers General Manager Tom Telesco apparently told agent Damarius Bilbo that Gordon was still "family," and did not give him permission to seek out potential trade partners on his own.

The Chargers might like to repair the relationship, but it's unclear if they're going to be able to without paying Gordon more money than they're apparently willing to pay him.

                      Things a little clearer now...

10 million is as high as I would go

Why won't we let him look for trade partners? We still have to approve trade...I like Melvin, but if he really wants out, get him out of here...I like the guys we have.

The TPB makes plans....And Jim Harbaugh laughs...

Final prediction: Latham OT, Colson LB, Sainristil CB,Rice WR, Zinter OG, Nourzad OC, MacLachlan TE, Vidal RB, Lovett DT

Yep, 10 is more than fair. He's worth 7-9 Mil a year IMO. Not allowing him to seek trade partners, might be a leverage/control thing by TT. If the team thinks a trade is the best option, they will seek it out and do it when they are ready. The player/agent will not get to dictate this. In the meantime MG will get hit with fines/loss of revenue if he doesn't show up, while the organization decides what is best for itself.

MG needs to be made an example of here, so others don't think they can pull the same crap.

Then he will be a cancer for the team complaining how he's under paid unless he takes the 10mil. I say keep him up until the trade deadline then send him off to a losing team.
