His holdout was always so bizarre to me. He didn't get traded and was not going to get the extension he wanted from the team. I guess you could say he spent about $2.2. million to avoid the possibility of getting injured in the first 4 games (since he won't play Sunday).

Would anyone be surprised if he pulls a hammy his first week back, like seems to happen a lot for players after holding out?

No. I wouldn't be surprised if he all of a sudden caught the Flu. I wonder if he has a child on the way. (these are Jalen Ramsey latest ailments/situations).

I can assure you he will miss at least two games between weeks 5 - 8.

After all this drama, I wouldn't be surprised if TT decides not to re-open negotiations with Gordon after the season...fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me....

From the reports, it sounds like Gordon has decided to move on from the Chargers after the season.

The video of Gordon walking into the locker room wearing a Yankee hat is sure to endear him further with the fans in LA.

Cant we just franchise tag him if we wanted? He's only hurting his stock by being unprofessional.

His return will not help. Or should I say rather, his absence isn't the reason we are losing. Our oline is bad. Our dline is bad. Ekeler is not a between the tackles runner. JJ can be. Melvin Gordon in my opinion is good but not elite. He gets tackled too easily. Chargers fix line issues they are better.
