So I just have to say how blessed and incredibly lucky we Charger fans are. This is a dream player we have now. Look at QB situations around the league. Some are decades old. *cough* Denver/Chicago and so on.

Case and point.. Pittsburgh. Let see how the Steeler fair with their QB transition. That is a scary time for any franchise.

So good to watch. Some of these analysts who predicted Herbert a bust should resign. A monkey could do their job better.

We should ALL care very much about having a great qb situation.
Rivers gave us a shot to win a superbowl, many other teams had no shot, practically
10 gives us an even better chance.
We are very lucky indeed.

The QB position is just one aspect of being a championship-caliber team. The rest of the team needs to be equal to the task.

It is worth remembering that Wilson played on a running team his entire career. The more he has had to carry his team, the worse they have done.

Packers best teams have been in the seasons he has a running game. THE SB year, and this year they threw a lot less than before.

This is not meant as a knock against either QB, but the point is that a QB alone can't do that much. He might keep us competitive, but he can't win a championship without a strong roster around him. Rivers never had that great a roster around him, and Herbert hasn't either. Justin has enough upside to cancel out some deficiencies in a roster, but we need more help across the roster to be a legit contender.

Rivers had a pretty good roster in his early years with Marty and then Norv.
