I was really hoping Herbert was gonna have splash game in his debut. But just like Rivers, Brees and Fouts before him this Charger curse is just too strong. Bringing Staley back doesnt give me high hopes things are gonna change. Herbert needs a great HC not one in training.

No one is happy about that outcome but he was also a rookie playing his 2nd pro game ever in KC.
He wasn't my first choice and he's had his share of rookie mistakes but a first round pick is fair price imo.

That should always be the goal for an NFL franchise, even if you don't have a great quarterback. Unfortunately the Spanoses don't care about that.
