At this point this is blasphemy. Probably the most talented QB we've ever had.

Does he need to prove himself, yes but he should have his entire career with us to do so just as Rivers, Fouts etc did even though they never brought home a ring.

      Maybe that was the problem.

We hung on too long to those guys.

IMO he doesn't have the "it" factor. The niceness is just another red flag on top. But he will make some dazzling throws and our attention span as a species is just too short.

        Of course.

Nobody on this team is untouchable, especially for that kind of bounty.

No, the problem was not holding on to them to long, it was not surrounding them with the best coaches and talent.

It's tempting, but it's also a risk. Are you confident you can get a quarterback like Herbert after making that trade? If not, are you confident you'll build a team with those picks good enough to win the Super Bowl, even if you don't have an elite quarterback?

He won’t have the “it” factor u til he wins some playoff games. That’s plural

I agree. I can't believe this talk of trading Herbert. He had a rib injury most of the season and torn labrum in the Denver & Jags games. His top receivers were out most of the season. He was far from the only one who didn't have the best playoff game. If he had Andy Reid coaching him (Reid is basically the offensive coordinator/head coach), instead of Lombardi, he would have won multiple playoff games.

Someone wanted Herbert to have Burrow's "confidence"
                    This isn't confidence.
this is plain ol arrogance and immaturity.

Herbert is genuine, humble and confident.
if you can't see that, I can't help you.

He dresses like that because he clearly needs the attention. This is usually a sign of someone with low self esteem and feelings of insecurity.

Self protection? How are fans going to be pissed off at him while wearing that outfit! LOL! Going to the carebears convention?

Before Burrow's arrival the Bengals hadn't won a playoff game since 1990. He comes in, and they go to the Super Bowl his second year and the AFC Championship Game his third. That's five playoff wins in two years for the Bengals--after having zero in thirty, even though they had Carson Palmer, Chad Johnson (Ochocince), T.J. Houshmanzadeh, and then A.J. Green and other talented receivers to help Andy Dalton. Sure, Burrow has a low self-esteem.

Herbert and Burrow are both outstanding quarterbacks. They're also very different. Neither of them has a problem with self-confidence. It's as simple as that.
