Not sure if this was mentioned
Regarding the talent around Herbert,
Only two other Oregon offensive players got drafted this year

FIFTH ROUND, PICK NO. 150 - SHANE LEMEIUX - OL
SIXTH ROUND, PICK NO. 208 - JAKE HANSON - Center

Or is he a LB?

To be honest I liked the Herbert pick after noticing this (that he did not have that good of a talent around him)

Sorry I did not see the word offense, as far as Troy goes, I think he is a bit small for a LB but he is very quick and athletic with luck the Vikes find a spot. He should make a very good special team player.

This is going to be a fun offense to watch evolve over the next 2-3 years.
On Justin Herbert working under center footwork and eyes being different compared to shotgun:
“When you’re taking a snap and you’re dropping, we want your eyes downfield. Guys sometimes they’re not used to that if you’re in shotgun all the time. Especially turning your back on the secondary with the hard run-action fakes. But you have to make those reads very simple, flat defender reader, half throw reads and things like that. We will be maybe not shotgun but pistol probably than we have been in a while. I don’t want to be completely foreign to a quarterback. The young man’s been in shotgun his whole life so why do I want to get him and put him under center right way every snap? So if we’re in a pistol and we can get the same things done and at the same time we can run read schemes.”My 2021 Adopt-A-Bolt List

Also like that he doesn't shortcut anything, sets a goal and goes the entire journey. Like coming back to Orgeon his senior year.
Does not show the best touch, feel or mechanics.
But its all about the W...finding ways to win.
3 rush TDs in MVP Rose Bowl win.
